Self-Confidence

Describe something you learned in high school.

In high school, there are so many things that teenagers go through. Bullying, peer pressure, pubity the choice whether to have sex, or not to have sex, cliques, (groups), whether you’re popular or not. Those are some of the things that are still happening today.

Honestly, things haven’t changed much since then. Those things still exist. They exist at work, church, home, and everywhere. There’s no escaping it.When I was going to school, I never let anyone influence me to do bad things. I never let anyone pressure me to do something bad. I always avoided things that could get me into trouble.

Children nowadays don’t think about what they do or say, but when things at school starts to be unbearable, they become pressured about what someone says about them. Sometimes, they turn to drugs. It causes depression, and anxiety, which could cause someone to do the unthinkable to themselves.

SELF CONFIDENCE

Self confidence is something that we have to help us remember that we can be confident in knowing that we can be confident in doing what’s right. We don’t have to worry about what others say. We don’t have to give in to their tactics, or their bullying so they can make themselves feel bigger than what they are. People who treats others like that are already small.

Having self confidence mean something. It means holding your head up high even when you have been put down. It means having faith in doing what’s right no matter what. It means getting back up when you’ve been knocked down more than once.

I learned self confidence in high school. I learned how to stand up for myself. I learned how to face a bully, I avoided peer pressure. I stayed away from gangs, I did everything I could to protect myself from that kind of thing. I always knew that if I gave in to those types of things, they could lead me down the wrong road in life.

Having self confidence is a beautiful thing. It doesn’t make you weak, it doesn’t make you a goody two shoes, it only makes you smart, and wise. It shows that you care about what you want in life. It shows wisdom, and it can’t ever be taken from you.

Always encourage yourself and others. Again, having self confidence is a beautiful thing.

Until next time, and as always, thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

Typing To The Beat of Music

What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?

Typing to music is fun. It makes me smile when I get into the rhythm. It gives me the opportunity to be creative in my musical writing. It gives me more ideas to write about. I realized this gift many years ago. I am always thinking of how I can be creative and still have fun while I am writing.

Music is a part of me. I am always humming a tune, or singing a song in my mind that I may want to write about, that’s why I pay close attention to the lyrics in songs. Writing is something I will always do. It is how I express myself. It is how I travel with words. Writing for me is about using my imagination to paint pictures through what I write. If is to captivate the minds of the readers. It is to take them on adventures that they too can write about.

So, always be creative in your writing, you may never know who you will inspire to share their journey in words.

The Way Things Are Sometimes Said

What makes you laugh?

Sometimes when someone is talking, they may not realize how they are coming across to the other person. Sometimes when someone says something, it can come out funny. They will ask, what’s so funny? You can tell them it was what they said and how they said it. This happens to me all of the time. It is good to find humor in words that can make you laugh. Laughing make me happy. It takes away anxiety, stress, and depression. I like watching my favorite shows that I know will make me laugh. I like listening to music that makes me smile. Ready my favorite book makes me laugh. Cracking jokes makes me laugh; sometimes I literally make myself laugh when I say something and it strikes me as funny. I literally be holding my side crying laughing.

Live, laugh, love, be joyful, and stay in peace. Until next time, thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.🎈

Learning More With Technology

How has technology changed your job?

Using technology on the job makes things easier, and more proficient. It helps us to be more productive in getting work done. Technology has changed the way we operate in the workplace. Everything is done through technology. One way is the way we communicate with each other, the way we send mail, the way we schedule appointments, the many different ways are endless. You can have a whole conversation with many people through a group chat, social media, and doing business all over the world.

Because of technology, we can work remotely. We do not have to be confined to a building just to work like before. We can set our own hours that we want to work. Technically, I think it is good to have a choice whether to work at home , or commute everyday. Technology has broadened our horizons when it comes to the workforce. I believe that after a while, everything will be done remotely except for the things that has to be done in a building, such as hospitals, doctors offices, nursing facilities, and daycare. There are lots of others, but those are just to name a few.

Having choices to choose from is always good. My choice is this; to do what I am passionate about whether remotely, or inside of a building. As long as I am happy that’s all that matters. So, until next time, and as always, thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul. Have a wonderful weekend.🌺

Absolutely beautiful.

Saying No

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

All of the time. I refuse to let things interfere with my goals. I do not let things destroy my vision for what I want to do in my life. My goals are important to me. I will not let anyone, or anything interfere with my goals.

Me being happy 😇

A Nurse

When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was five I wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. I wanted to be a nurse because I wanted to help people stay well. Little did I know I was speaking into my life. Now I have the opportunity to get my CNA license, and I will have them in six weeks. It is amazing to me to see my dreams come true. I have always Walton be in the medical field in some way, and now I get to see it happen and live my dream.

I was talking to God just last week when I got off work. I asked Him would I ever get my license, because I wished I could. I didn’t think anything else about it. He heard my prayer. He heard my thoughts. It is amazing how God will surprise us when we believe and have faith in Him. Who else can we trust? Who else can we turn to? He is always there even when we don’t feel His presence.

Just remember, He loves us all unconditionally; more than our mind can fathom. His love is never ending, all of His promises are yes and amen, His mercies are new every morning, and He will provide for our every need. Pray and ask God for what you want, you just may get it. He is a rewarded to those who diligently seek Him with all their heart.

Until next time, and as always, thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

The Blessed and Highly Favored!

Real

What is one word that describes you?

I am real and not fake. I am raw and outspoken. There are many words that describes me, but for now real is the mood that I am in. I am real everyday. What you see is what you get. Accept me or not, it’s your choice because I can only be me, and that’s real.

What is one word that describes you?

Me being Me, and that’s real.

My Favorite Department Store

Where would you go on a shopping spree?

I would go on a shopping spree at my favorite department store, or I would go to my favorite car dealership and buy the vehicles I want. I love shopping. I could shop all day if I could afford to.

I would like to go in shopping Paris France one day when I am famous and take pictures there. That would be a dream come true for me. Where would you go on a shopping spree if you could? Deuces🌸

My Middle Name is Hebrew

What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?

My middle name is La’Shon, and it is Hebrew. I found it when I was looking through my Bible Concordance one night, so I highlighted it. It makes me feel special knowing that my middle name is unique. I don’t tell everyone because I do not want to try to answer questions that I don’t have the answers to. When I think about my name being what it is, I often wonder why I was the one to be blessed with such a beautiful name. My whole name is unique. My first name is so unique that there’s not a meaning for it. I have always been told that I have a beautiful name. I have never let it go to my head, or thought that I was better than anyone else. I do know that I like the finer things in life. I guess that’s what makes me who I am according to what my name is.

My name makes me smile when I say it. Not a lot of people can pronounce my name correctly. When I pronounce my name for people, I literally have to break it down for them and teach them how to say it. My name, smile, and eyes has a connection of some sort. I have never been able to figure out why, but it is just like that.

Well, I could go on and on about it, but I don’t want to seem like I am bragging. Until next time, deuces.

I am proud of the accomplishments I have made concerning my book. It was just a dream that was so far out of reach, but when I saw my dream become a reality that I could always hold in my hands, it was the best feeling in the whole world. Tears of joy filled my eyes, and a smile adorned my face like never before. I can truly say that I could not have done any of this without God’s help. This would not be possible if He were not with me. So, if you are looking for something to lift you up, purchase my book and get your creativity flowing. If I can do it, you can too. My Dream Home: Mansion

Write about your dream home.

Every girl growing up wants to live in her dream home. She knows exactly how it will look, where it will be, and every piece of furniture she wants to put in it.

I am still searching for my dream home. I want my dream home to be a four story mansion so I can have my own private studio where I will do all of my writing, painting, drawing, and recording my shows. I would have state of the art High end kitchen appliances, I would have all of my main bedrooms on the second floor with an elevator. I would have an indoor hot and cold swimming pool complete with a full gym, sauna, and hot tub.

My bathrooms would be set up like a spa retreat. I would have every kind of bath and body oil there is on the market, every kind of body conditioner, and everything that I would need to stay fresh and beautiful. I would have a dressing room built into my gigantic walk in closet. It would contain everything I need. I would have state of the art security cameras all around my mansion. There would also be high security intercoms with codes so I will know who is entering my property.

In the back of my property, I would have my guesthouse’s so family would have some place to sleep when they visit. I would have my greenhouse on the north end of my property where I would grow exotic vegetables and fruits. There would be fruit trees of every kind.

My living room would have the most expensive furniture that money can buy; nothing cheap. My lights would be voice activated, and the thermostat as well. Solar lights would be all around my mansion and driveway that will lead to my six car garage which would welcome me home if I left and returned home.

In my dream home, there would be the best of everything that my heart desires. I know and believe that one day this will be my dream home where I will live and enjoy the rest of my life. It will be something that I will leave for my children, grandchildren, and their children for generations to come. I grew up with nothing extravagant, but this is what I want before I leave this earth. I want my family to never have to want a place to live, because they will have it when my dream comes true.

Beautifully built mansion.

Getting on a Paddle Boat

What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it?

I have always liked boats. I like how big they are. I like that they are built to travel from place to place in vast amounts of waters, such as oceans. After I learned about what happened to the Titanic, I knew I would never get on a boat of any kind. That did it for me.

PADDLE BOATS

Paddle boats looks fun when someone else are on them having a good time. We were at the State Park where I live. My husband asked me if I wanted to go paddle boating, I told him no. I told him that it was too much water for me to digest if it tipped over. I have never been on the water before because I can’t swim, I have a bad case of hydrophobia. I love looking at the water, but being in it like that will never happen. There is nothing that could make me get on a boat. I don’t care whose maneuvering it, I don’t care how many life jackets, or lifeguards, or lifeboats there are, I will not do it.

I told him he could if he wanted to, but I would not be joining him. That was the last time we were at the State Park. Boats are luxurious, but they are not for me.

If I Won the Lottery

What would you do if you won the lottery?

If I won the lottery, I would take care of my business and put the rest in the bank until I decided what I wanted to do next. It would be the best thing to do. I would not keep that kind of money in my possession. For starters, I would not tell a living soul. This is all I have to say about that. Until next time, deuces.

C Notes

Pets

If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

Pets are wonderful to have. They’re loyal companions. You can talk to them about anything and never have to worry about it going any further. When pets are trained, they usually obey their masters, or master, but when they are not trained, they have a hard time obeying their master, or masters.

If I could make my pet understand one thing, it would be to go outside and use the bathroom in a designated area that’s especially for him or her. I love animals, but where I live, I can’t have one, and the last pet I had someone stole her. I suppose one day I will have a pet again.

Love your pets and they will love you back. Until next time, have a wonderful year.

Absolutely cute!

Eternal Life

Do you want to live forever?

Well, that is a good question. That is a good question for nonbelievers. Eternal life can only be given when we give our lives to the Lord by repenting of our sins, so, we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we receive eternal life in Him; we get to live for all eternity in heaven with Him so, yes. Those who have not repented of their sins will be cast into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth. So, let me ask you this: Do you want to live forever? The choice is yours. Where do you want to spend eternity? Do you want to burn, or do you want to spend eternity with Jesus? (See John 3:16 in the Bible of your choice.)

What Relationships Have a Negative Impact on Me Are…

What relationships have a negative impact on you?

When you go to your church where you worship and ask for help and they turn their back on you. This is partly why I feel like everyone who calls themselves Christians, really aren’t per say, simply because they think that they shouldn’t help others. Everything belongs to God, but they turn their backs on you. I know this all too well. Employers are the same way as well. They take your job away from you because of illness and doesn’t care about what they have done to you. They don’t care if your bills are not paid. They don’t care if you have food to eat, clothes on your back, or shoes on your feet. They don’t realize how it puts a strain of families. No one cares about how they treat others when they have everything, it happens in families just as well.

Times are not like they were back in the day. A very long time ago, people believed in helping others. People came together to help their friends and neighbors in their trying times. What happened to the real Christians who really cared and loved their neighbors as themselves? What happened to the love that was once shared in families, especially the church family? There is so much going on in the world today until I guess some people just don’t care about others anymore.

Another thing that impacts me negatively is all of the homelessness, killing, this virus that’s been here forever now taking innocent lives of the young and old. War, will it ever end?

When I think about everything that Jesus went through for us, and to see how the world is today, it is hard to fathom. I could go on and on about it, but it is New Years and I want to enjoy it. If you haven’t talked to Jesus today, take a few minutes and pour out your heart to Him. Give it all to Him. Going through trials and tribulations is something we all face from time to time, but Jesus knows all about it. He knows what we will go through before we even experience the trial. Trials come for a season, but joy comes in the morning. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Heartache and heartbreak may come, but joy comes in the morning. Grief may come, but joy comes in the morning. No matter what we face in life, we should know that joy comes in the morning. Let Jesus give you the joy that the world can’t take away. Let Him give you the peace that the world can’t take away. Let Him give you happiness that the world can’t take away. Let Him give you a new life in Him that the world can’t take away, and that is eternal life in Him. May God bless you today and every day. May He give you strength to endure during this holiday season. May He comfort the hearts that’s grieving due to the loss of loved ones. May He dry your weeping eyes. May He comfort you when you can’t sleep due to whatever you are going through in your life. May His love saturate your heart and soul that others may see Him in you. God bless you today and every day. As always, thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

My Life and How It Has Changed Since Last Year

My Life

Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

No, it isn’t. My life is nothing like it was a year ago, and I didn’t picture it to be the way it is now. I have been truly blessed this year. Lots of amazing things has happened that I am proud of myself for. I wrote my first book, My Life: From the Back Burner, and I am working on my second book, My Life Moving Forward. I created a new website, I am learning how to make and publish eBooks, and lots of other things. The list goes on and on. I created a new web page for my food site. There is so much going on in my life that I cannot tell it all. One thing Ican say is that God is good all of the time. If it were not for Him, not any of this would be possible for me. I am confident in my writing now more than ever. I have learned to believe in myself. I have learned to stop being so hard on myself when I don’t understand something, or when I don’t know how to do something. I really have learned that depression doesn’t define me, and I am not my past self. I know that my life has good and bad days, but lately it has been a rollercoaster ride trying to get over this illness that came upon me all of a sudden. I am thankful to have God on my side. He has taken care of me through this whole ordeal, and He is still taking care of me. I am not fully well due to this cough, but I am making it in the name of Jesus. I know it is going to take some time for me to get my strength back fully, but with every passing day, I am becoming stronger. I am believing for complete healing because I am ready to go back to work. Hopefully the new coming year will be better. I say that every year, and it is always the same, but I am going to keep on praying that things will be better.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for continuing to join me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

My Greatest Accomplishment This Year

What big events have taken place in your life over the past year?

The biggest event that has taken place in my life this year is writing and publishing my first book, and seeing my dreams come true. This year has had its ups and downs, but I have managed to make it just fine. I am now working on republishing my first book so that it can get the exposure it needs to be successful. I am also working on writing my second book and hopefully it will do just as well. I am very proud of the accomplishments I have made. I have learned and taught myself so much to help improve my writing. I am also working on getting some other things in which I know I am going to need when it is all said and done. I cannot wait to see where God is going to take me, and what doors He is going to open up for me. I know that whatever it is it’s going to be great. This year has gone by so fast, but I am not complaining though. I created a new website on WiX, and it doing alright. Hopefully I will have everything together to start my business sometime next year; I still have to create my business plan and decide what products and services I will be offering. I know for sure I will be promoting my books. Until everything else falls into place, promoting my books will be my main focus. All I can say is that I am ready for 2023. I am ready to see what it is going to bring. I just hope that it be a great year. I have been catching up on my Bible studies. I have been sharing my faith more again, I had slacked up, but I think that’s where I went wrong. I plan to record more shows this coming year if I have time. I am just so busy writing, and creating content.

GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS!

Well, Christmas is just around the corner, and Winter is right behind it. The feeling of Christmas is in the air. Everywhere you go things are decorated with lights and Christmas trees, the only thing that’s missing is the snow. It would be nice if we got some snow this year on Christmas. To be honest, I don’t see anything wrong with putting up a tree and celebrating Christmas. Everyone has their own opinion about celebrating Christmas. I don’t see it as a pagan holiday. It is the birth of Jesus we are celebrating, the Savior of the whole world. Had He not been born for us to celebrate this day; we would never have redemption for our sins through the shedding of His blood on the cross. There would not be any forgiveness for our sins, and we would not have a mediator to stand up and fight the battles for us that we cannot see with our eyes that’s going on in heavenly places. Christmas isn’t about gifts being bought in the stores, but it is about celebrating the risen King, Jesus Christ.

In our family, growing up, there was a tree put up every year and decorated beautifully. Everything was decorated inside and outside. We loved it. I still put up a Christmas tree, everyone has their own opinion about Christmas, trees, lights, and everything that goes along with the season. Do what you feel like you want to do or not do, just don’t ruin it for the children. There’s so much darkness in the world now that there need to be some kind of joy being shared. I thought I would speak about that.

Now, I want to talk about a certain song that’s sang at Christmas, and it is Jingle Bells. When I think about it, it takes me back to some of the slave movies that are being portrayed this day in time. It is cruel to portray something like that, and those of you who understand know what I am talking about. I never thought about that song like that until now after giving it some thought. That whole song has given me a visual but not in a good way. I can honestly say that I am very good at looking behind words and seeing their meaning. Has there ever been a brown skinned Santa Clause? No there hasn’t. Has there ever been a brown skinned Mrs. Clause? No there hasn’t. All of the songs we sang as children, I am seeing them in a different light. I now know what all of those songs mean. They may sound good, but they all have their own meaning behind the words; just think about it, but everyone will have their own opinion about them. I don’t think I will ever see those songs the same again, nor will I sing them again. When I was younger, I didn’t know any better, I just believed what I was told.

I hope no one was offended by what I have said, and if you were, that’s your right to be. I will not even be upset about it, because as I said everyone has their own opinions about things. Merry Christmas.
