Coming Soon To Food for the Soul: Bible Studies For EveryOne👍🏽😇

I want to create a space where I can share all of the Bible Studies I come across. I want everyone to be able to come to this page and find a Bible Study that interests them; including Bible Studies for children. As I post them, I will also be posting them in my recordings on my Podcast Food for the Soul, which is on Spotify.  My new poetry show will also be coming soon to Spotify when it is all said and done. I will also keep you informed as to when it arrives.  It is still being reviewed by all of the platforms, so stay tuned for that. Who and what are you afraid of today and everyday? What has frightened you? Was it a bad dream, was it a scary movie, or was it a bully? We do not have to be afraid of anything, or anyone. We can be brave and courageous everyday. We have Jesus on our side.

Verse 2 tells us this: When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

See, David had enemies who were trying to kill him, but He prayed to God and his enemies were overtaken. God fights our battles for us. We trust God and know that He is always with us. We are never alone. We do not ever have to worry about being afraid of anyone or anything.

Verse 3. Tells us this: Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

David was not afraid because of what was going on, nor was he afraid of what may happen. He was confident that God would protect him. He didn’t let fear inter into his heart. He kept his faith and trust in God.

We should keep our faith in God just as David did no matter what we are facing and going through in our life. We must not let fear take over us by any means. We are to stay confident that God will work everything out for us. We must trust God with everything concerning us. Who else can we trust and have faith in?

Verse 4. Tells us this: David said, “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.”

This is what David wanted to do. He wanted to always be close to God no matter what. We should want to be close to God no matter what. We get close to God by trusting Him, studying the Word, praying, listening to inspirational music, and sharing Jesus, His Son.

Verse 5. David said, “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his *tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up on a *rock.

Just as God protected David in all that he faced, God will protect us. He will hide us in his secret place from danger, and from our enemies. We have no reason to be afraid. We have nothing to fear.

Verse 6. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

God will raise us up above our enemies who are all around us. We rejoice in God and sing praises to His name for the victories He has won against our enemies. We praise Him for protecting us from our enemies seen and unseen. We sing to God in celebration of His marvelous ways. We are to praise God with all of our being everyday we are on this earth.

Verse 7. Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have *mercy also upon me, and answer me.

When we are going through something that is out of our control, we need God to help us. When our heart is broken, we need God to heal our hearts. When we make mistakes, we need God to have mercy on us. We need and want God to hear our cry and come to our rescue.  When we cry out to God with our voice, He hears us. Even when we cry out to Him in our mind, He hears us, when we even whisper His name, He hears us. He is just a prayer away. He is never to busy to answer His children. It makes His heart happy when we call on our Heavenly Father. He is our ever present help in times of trouble. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Verse 8. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

We must seek the LORD while He may be found. We will find Him when we seek Him with all of our heart. We seek the LORD by reading and studying the Word. We also seek Him through prayer and worship.

Verse 9. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

We do not want God to hide His face from us. We do not want God to be angry with us. He is our help, and we surely do not want to be forsaken by God. He is our salvation. We do not want Him to leave us. What can we do without God? The answer is nothing. Apart from Him we can do nothing, but with Him we can do everything.

Verse 10. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

There are so many children who did not grow up with a mother and father. There are some who grew up with one or the other, and there are some who grew up with no mother and father because they were given up for whatever reason. When we were living in the world lost without a leg to stand on, wondering aimless in the darkness, God sent His only Son into this world to die for our sins so we could be reconciled back fo Him. He adopted us and became our Father. He took us in, so we will never be alone in this world. He is our Heavenly Father. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is everything to us.

Verse 11. Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in the path, because of mine enemies.

We ask God to teach us His way. In order for that to happen, we must study His Word. He tells us what to do and how to live in His Word. When we seek Him first, He will teach us His way. We cannot be taught if we do not open our Bibles so He can teach us. Listening to His instructions and obeying Him is how we learn. We learn how to fight our enemies by learning God’s Word. We use the Word for everything. Jesus spoke the Word to fight the enemy (the Devil), and so can we.

Verse 12. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

This verse reminds me when false witnesses rose up against Stephen before he was stoned to death. This verse also reminds me of how Judas betrayed Jesus the night He was arrested in the garden and how Peter denied Him three times before the cock crew. Your enemies can be in your own household, or they can be those who you thought were your friends.

We want to always obey God so He will not have to hand us over to the hands of our enemies. This sort of thing happened in the Bible. People will breathe out cruelty for whatever reason especially if they do not like you. So, we have to be careful who we call our friends. The main person that acts like they care for you so much is the main one who will stab you in the back.

Verse 13. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

This world will eat you alive if you let it. God is good even in the bad times, in the dark times that we are facing right now. We cannot let what is happening stop us from having faith in God. If we stop having faith and believing in God, we will faint from the sin of it. So, we must stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Verse 14. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

When we are going through difficulties in life, it is as if God seems to be far away. For sure He isn’t far away. We focus on the problems instead of focusing on the problem solver. What can we do by worrying about the situation? We only become depressed and filled with anxiety.

Wait on the LORD. When we are going through difficulties or problems of any kind (e.g., illness, loss of a loved one, financial difficulties, etc.), sometimes God doesn’t seem close, and we don’t receive His help and strengthening as soon as we want it. But God see our problems and is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28) even when we can’t see it. We must continue to trust and serve Him, knowing He is in control and will help us through the hard times (Isaiah 40:28-31).

I have really enjoyed creating my first Bible Study. There will be more to come. This is a test drive. Whatever the LORD leads me to to speak about , that is what the Bible Study will be about. God bless everyone. Merry Christmas everyone.

Verse 2.) Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy *holy *oracle.

David is asking God to hear his his pleas when he cry unto Him. David really needs God . He wants God to hear everything he is saying to Him. David is praying to God telling Him what is on his heart with his hands raised to God. David is giving everything he is feeling to God. He is pouring out his heart to God. He is not holding anything back, he is being open and honest with God.

When we are feeling some type of way because something has happened in our life, we often times try not to think about it, or we just ignore it. Before we know it, it is constantly on our mind. We do everything we can to avoid it, but then we get tired of leaving it on the back burner we bring it to the front of the stove. When we do that, we are ready to lay it all out before God.  When we talk to God, we must be open and honest with Him. We cannot hold anything back from Him. He is our Father, He loves us. We can talk to Him about anything. We can pour out our hearts to Him. We do not have to be afraid to talk to the One who loves us more than anyone else in the world. When we don’t talk to God we become frustrated and filled with anxiety, which leads to depression. That is something we do not need to put ourselves through. So, just remember that God cares for us just as He cared for David. God never changes. He is the same all of the time.  I know that it is sometimes hard to talk to God because He is all powerful, and all knowing. He does not want us to be afraid to talk to Him.  We know He is always ready to hear from us with everything that we have on our heart. He is ready to help us with everything. Why? Because He is our sure foundation. Our rock that we build our hope, faith, and trust upon. Give it all to Him and let Him work everything out in His perfect timing.

Now we are going to skip over to verses 6–8. We are going to see what David is saying to the LORD. You are more than welcome to explore the other verses on your own, but I will come back to those at a later date.

Verse 6.) Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my supplications.

David blessed the LORD because He heard his supplications. David was glad that God heard him. He was thankful and grateful for what God had done.

When God answers our prayers, it is always good to bless the LORD! We want to show God that we are thankful to Him for hearing us and answering our prayers. We are to be grateful for what He does for us, because there are times when we may forget to thank Him and bless Him for what He does for us. God is good all of the time, and all of the time God is good.

Verse 7.) The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

David is saying that God is his protection, and his strength, and he is helped in God. His heart is happy to the point that he sing praises to God. David trusts God with everything. When we realize that God is our strength, we never have to worry about being weak. When we trust God, He helps us, He protects us, our heart rejoices in God. We sing praises to Him to show Him how we appreciate Him and love Him , and are thankful for what He has done for us. We make melodies in our heart unto God. We also show God praise also by studying His Word, by meditating on His Word day and night.

Verse 8.) The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

The LORD is the strength of His anointed people, those who are set apart in service to Him. Those who are called according to God’s purpose to win souls for the Kingdom of God. To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Back in the Bible days, before Jesus came, God literally spoke to His people. He came to Abraham and told him what was going to take place concerning Sara, his wife. Just as God spoke to His people then, He speaks to us even now, but He speaks to us through His Word. He speaks to our spirit, and if He wishes to do so, He will speak to us as He spoke back then. He is God and God alone; He does what pleases Him.

God speaks to us all of the time, we just have to be quiet and listen for His still small voice.

It has brought me great joy creating this Bible study for everyone. I am grateful to God for giving me the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to share His Word with everyone in this way.
