In The Waiting, What Do We Do?

“In the waiting, we learn to trust God even when things feel like it is not working out for you.”

Shaunelius L. Sterns

Life is hard, it is never easy. There are things that will come and turn everything upside down. We try to understand it, but we can’t. We try to figure it out, but we can’t. Everything is not meant for us to understand, we just have to accept things the way they are. We have to know that things happen for a reason , not sometimes, but all of the time. If things did not happen how would we learn to have faith in the waiting? If everyday was perfect, how would we ever learn to be wise to make the right decisions in life? If everything was perfect, would we trust God to take care of things for us, or would we just forget God all together? What would we do?

Jesus never told us that there would not be trouble, and He never told us that we would never go through anything. He told us to take heart because He has overcame the world. We can overcome anything that we are facing in life. We can trust and have faith in Him. He will always be here for us, no matter what we face in our lives. He has all of the answers to the things that we do not know, and He has all of the answers to the things that we will ever face.

We are living in dark times now. We live from day to day not knowing what the next day will bring for us. We do not know what will happen from day to day, but we do know who holds everything together in the palms of His hands. Even though things of tragedy has happened in the world, we can still trust in God. We can still have hope that He will turn every thing around for the better.

We have to make the right choices everyday to make this world a better place for future generations. While we are in the waiting, we pray, we share God’s Word, we encourage one another, we lift each other up. We just cannot think about ourselves. We must think about others, such as the elderly. Some of them may not be able to get around as they once did.

While we are alive we must never give up on God because He will never give up on us. No matter what life throws at us, we will make it through if we do not faint while we are in the waiting. While we are in the waiting, we can focus on the things we want to do in our life, and we can think about what we want for our children. We can focus on continuing our education, or starting a business that we have been thinking about. There are a lot of things that we can do while we are in the waiting.

When we are at a certain place in our lives, we come to the conclusion that that some how we got off track. We wonder what happened to us that brought us to that place. We search in all of the wrong places to find that answer. Sometimes we do not pay attention to the things that we are doing, sometimes things happen to throw us off track, sometimes we get to the point to where we just do not care. When that happens, we need to get in a quiet place and meditate to clear our heads so we can think straight. That is when we go to the Word and seek the face of God. He can show us where we drifted, and when we drifted in our lives. He will bring us back and restore us so there will be restoration in our lives. We will only be restored when we go to Him. He is the only One who can restore us when we have drifted way from Him. Sometimes we are running and do not even realize it until we become afraid.

Life is scary when we drift away from God. It is like walking down a path with total darkness and no light at all. It is like being followed by death. Fear grips our heart and we just do not know what to do. Our mind becomes blank; that is what fear does when it takes over, and that is something we cannot let fear do to us, we cannot let it overtake us. Fear can be felt strongly when that is all is focused on. We can give that fear to God, or we can continue to let it break us down to nothing. Fear comes from the enemy to destroy our faith in God. Fear kills hope in God. Fear drains us of energy that we need to go to God. Fear is crippling.

When we are restored, we have restoration and things start to fall back into place. Life begins to look better. We start to see things in a new light. Our faith is restored in God, and there is nothing that we cannot accomplish with God on our side. We realize who is always there for us no matter what we are going through. We know who has our back. We may not always feel His presence, but He is always there. Sometimes He is silent, but He is always there leading and guiding us all of the way. Being restored and refreshed is refreshing. It is like feeling the coolness of the Holy Spirit breathing on us. We began to praise God for all of the wonderful things He has done for us, and for all of the things He is doing for us, and for all of the things He is going to do for us. We began to tell Him just how marvelous He is, how glorious He is, how majestic He is, how powerful He is, and how much we love Him, and most of all thanking Him for His Son, Jesus, and what He did for us. We began to tell everyone what Jesus has done in our lives, and how He has changed us from who we were to who we are now in Him.

We all need restoration at some point in our lives. We go through things that we do not understand, and we face circumstances that we have never had to face before. It is sad when things like that happen to us, but we know who is on the Throne watching out for, and over us everyday. We do not have to worry about anything, but we are only human, so we do worry about things from time to time; God does not want us to worry. That is something we all have to work on. We all are guilty of worrying about things. People who came before us worried about things; Jesus, while He was in the Garden was praying about what was about to happen, blood like sweat fell from His forehead, so what does that tell us? Things happen that will cause us to worry and stress, not that we want to, but it is life. I know that worrying about something will not change what is, but praying about it will, because prayer changes things. Prayer changes us, but we have to want it to. We will never change until we ask Jesus to come into our hearts to be our personal Lord and Savior. How and why would anyone want to live their lives without Jesus. He laid down His life for us, no one took it. He laid it down because of the love the Father had for us so we could be free from sin.

Everyday is a gift from God. Everyday is given to us to share the Word of God. We are to share and show His love to a dying and dark world. He is the Light of the world, and in Him there is no darkness at all. Darkness represents sin, Light represents Jesus, Love represents Jesus, Forgiveness represents Jesus, Eternal Life represents Jesus, we who are called by His name represents Jesus; we are the image of God; His righteous reflections. We are righteous because of Jesus and what He has done for us. Why is it so hard for some to accept Jesus and the love of the Father? It brings tears to my eyes to know that there are people in the world who are blind to the fact that Jesus laid down His life for every human being who will ever walk on the face of this earth! We all are going to have to stand before Him one day, even those who did not believe in Him. Time will be completely up to ask Him to come into your heart to be your Lord and Savior; all chances will be gone. It will be the day of judgement for every soul. It will not matter what color our skin was, or where we were from; we will all be the same, but we all will not reside in the same place for all eternity. Only the righteous who did the Will of the Father will enter the Kingdom. Others will be cast out into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth; where their thirst will never be quenched, where their souls will burn in a lake of fire for all eternity. Just so you know, heaven and hell are real. Where do you want to spend eternity? If Jesus came and appeared right before you and said, “Let us go, would you be ready?” Would you be ready to take that journey with Him, or would you tell Him NO? This is why I always say to do it while the blood is still running warm in your veins, because we do not know when our time on this earth will be coming to an end. Choose this day who you will serve, because as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. All praises be to God, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was and is and is to come. Amen. Thank you all for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

JOURNEYS

When we are reading a book that we like to read, we go on journeys through the pages that we read. We do not know where that journey will lead us to, but we are always excited to find our as we turn the page to read the next chapter. We hang on to the suspense to see what is going to happen to the characters in the story. Sometimes there may be a twist to the plot of the story. Things may not happen like we expected the to. We continue to read until we come to the end of the book. When we are ending the last chapter, what was learned from the story written? Was it so good that you would read it again? Would you pass it on to a friend, or put it back on the shelf? Books takes us to far away lands and places that we have never been before. We experience new things through the pages that we read. Sometimes when we read books they make us cry, scream, or maybe even laugh out loud.

When we are reading the Bible, we go on very long journeys that we have never been on before. We get to experience feelings, emotions, laughter, crying, and miracles that we have never seen before. We experience tragedy on every level, and we experience births of new life being born, as well as death and sorrow, and grief. Not only that, we gain wisdom and understanding, and knowledge about things that we did not know beforehand. Sometimes we may see something that God is trying to show us about ourselves. When that happens, we must pay attention to what God is showing us. Everything that He shows us about ourselves is something we need to change about ourselves. Even then, God showed them things about themselves that they needed to change. He talked to them in many different ways, such as in their dreams, through people, through music, and directly to them with His voice. Not only that, He would visit them in person; just as He visited Abraham when He was on His way to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. He will speak to us in the way that pleases Him.

Our life is a journey. We may not think so, but it is. We do not know what we are going to do from day to day, we just go with the flow. While we are going about our day, let us remember the journey that Jesus took for us, and what He done for us. Don’t forget to tell Him just how much He means to You, and how much you love Him. Thank you for coming along with me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

The Parables Begin-The Parable of the House Built Upon the Rock- Matthew 7:24-29. (cf. Luke 6:47-49.)

(v.24.) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

(v.25.) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

(v.26.) And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

(v.27.) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

(v.28.) And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his *doctrine:

(v.29.) For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

LUKE 6:47-49 -A PARABLE: A HOUSE ON A ROCK (CR. MATTHEW 7:24-27)

(v.47.) Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

(v.48.) He is like a man which built a house and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

(v.49.)But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built a house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.

Jesus is the rock of our salvation whom we build our faith upon. When we build our faith upon Jesus, nothing can shake it. We have a solid foundation to stand upon. When the storms of life try to beat us down, they cannot shake us. When we stand upon God’s Word, we obtain the strength to continue to stand even when we feel we cannot stand anymore. We are not to be like the man who built his house without a sure foundation that goes deep into the soil of our souls. We are to be like the man who builds his house on a sure foundation so that when the winds and rain, and storms of life come, we will be able to withstand it. We will not have to worry about our faith failing.

We know that storms will come to test our faith. We know that we will not go through the storms alone. We know who will give us the strength to stand during the trying times that we are going through. Sometimes we may feel like we are on shaky ground, and it feels as if the world is crashing down around us, we know that we can call on Jesus to help us through whatever situation we are going through. When we have faith in Jesus, we can weather any storm that comes our way. When we hold on to His unchanging hand we will never fall, we learn to trust and lean on Him. When we have Jesus in our heart, we know that He will fix everything that needs to be fixed. The man that built his house on the sand did not have anything to build upon because he did not have faith, he did not have that sure foundation to build upon and his faith failed, so therefore he could not stop the storms of life from beating him down. He gave way under the pressure of his problems that he was facing. Instead of him going to get what he needed to be wise, he chose to be foolish in his doings. When we do not go to Jesus for the things that we need to know, who else can give us the sound doctrine that we need to have faith? We only learn to have faith by staying in the Word and doing what Jesus tells us to do. How can we understand anything in life if we do not consult with the One who has all of the answers to the questions and problems that we have to face everyday of our lives?

There are times when things happen to us and we do not know how to handle it. We become frightened to the point that fear has us shaken. We just walk around confused. Why do we forget to go to the Word? well, the enemy makes us forget. He causes us to focus on the problem rather than going to the Word, or praying about what ever the situation is that we are facing. He becomes the distraction that throws us off balance in our mind, He does not want us to go to God, He just wants to see us give up and fail. He wants us to give up on God. He will lie to us telling us that God does not care about what we are going through. He will try to make a lie sound like the truth. He tries to make us turn our backs on God, but we have to rebuke him in the name of Jesus and tell Him to get behind us where He belongs. He is under our feet! We cannot forget who we belong to. We cannot forget who we are and whose we are. We must never forget that we are children of the Most High God! No weapon formed against us shall prosper! When we hold on to that, we have nothing to worry about. God will fight our battles for us, we just have to sit back and be still.

We all need guidance at some point in our lives no matter how old, or how young we are. There is not one perfect person on the face of this earth. We all have problems, but we have a Savior who can help us through them all. I am glad that I do not have to walk alone in my life. I am grateful to God knowing that He is always with me. It makes me feel good to know that I am loved by God. I am glad that I am His child. Do not forget to talk to Him today. Don’t forget to tell Him just how much you love Him. Stay safe and stay blessed.

THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT-MARK 12:29-31

I want to ask this question, do we ever think about the greatest commandment? Do we ever pay attention to what Jesus is telling us about the greatest commandment? Let us look at the Scriptures to see what Jesus is telling us the greatest commandments are.

And Jesus answered him, The first of all of the commandments is, Hear, O *Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all our heart, and with all thy soul, and with all our mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Should you want to continue the reading about what Jesus is telling us about the lessons that we need to know about, feel free to do so. All of the Scriptures in all of the Books in the Bible are living and breathing words of our Heavenly Father. I look at God’s Word as a love letter He wrote to us so we will always have His Words with us. We must take God’s Word seriously, it is nothing to be played with, or to be disregarded, it is not to be taken lightly. When we read the Word, we gain strength and understanding from Jesus. Our faith grows stronger when we spend time in the Word. We never know what God will show us that pertains to us, and we never know who we may have to give a word to. We must always be paying close attention to the Word of God. We cannot live righteously without it. Our spirit cannot be strong without it. God’s Word is food for our soul. Just as we feed our body when we need something to eat, it makes us strong. Without nourishment our body becomes weak. tired, and sluggish. Our spirit becomes like that when we ignore to feed it with God’s Word. Do not forget to pray and thank God for all of the wonderful things He does for us. Let us not forget to thank Him for our health and strength. Most of all, let us not forget to thank Him for sending His Precious Son to die for our sins. He did not have to do it, but He did because of the love He has for us. He loved us even when we were living in sin. The love He has for us will never fail, it is forever and ever. Nothing can ever compare to the love God has for us. If you have not asked Jesus to come into your heart to be your Lord and Savior, do it while the blood is still running warm in your veins. Do it today, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Do not wait until it is to late. He loves you more than you will ever know, more than your mind can fathom. Don’t miss the opportunity to make Him your Lord and Savior, Amen.

THE LONG WALK

ALL NIGHT LONG IN PAIN AND AGONY YOU TOOK THE PUNISHMENT FOR ME. ALL NIGHT LONG THEY BEAT YOU AND YOU NEVER GOT TO SLEEP. ALL NIGHT LONG YOUR BODY BLED THE BLOOD YOU SHED FOR ME.

VIOLENT MEN FILLED WITH HATE SPAT IN YOUR FACE, MOCKED YOU, REDICULED YOU WITHOUT EVEN A CARE. BUT WHEN TIME CAME FOR YOU TO MAKE THE LONG WALK, YOU WERE THERE.

HURTING AND IN PAIN, YOU MADE THE LONG WALK FOR ME. HURTING AND IN PAIN, YOU MADE THAT LONG WALK FOR ME. THE LONG DUSTY ROAD FOR ALL OF THE WORLD TO SEE, YOU TOOK THE LONG WALK, YOU TOOK THE LONG WALK UP TO CALVARY.

WEAK AND TIRED WITH NOTHING TO EAT, YOU TOOK THE LONG WALK FOR ME. I WILL NEVER FORGET OUR SINS WERE THERE WHEN THEY NAILED YOU TO THE TREE. HOW HURTFUL IT WAS FOR YOUR MOTHER TO SEE HER SON DYING ON A TREE.

YOU TOOK THE NAILS IN YOUR HANDS AND YOUR FEET, A CROWN OF THORNS ON YOUR HEAD, BUT MOST OF ALL YOU DID IT JUST FOR ME.

WHEN IT WAS ALL SAID AND DONE, YOUR RACE HAD BEEN WON, FROM BEGINNING TO END OUR SOULS YOU DID WIN, BUT BECAUSE OF YOUR LOVE YOU CAME FROM HEAVEN ABOVE TO DO IT ALL JUST FOR ME.

Children’s Prayer for Today according to Hebrews 11:6

Thanking God!

β€œGod, thank You for all that you do for me. And thank You for giving me someone to have faith in. Please help me to believe that You hear my prayers and that You will answer them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Prayer For Today according to 2 Corinthians 5:21

Forever Love

Jesus, thank You for showing me unconditional, sacrificial love. I can’t believe You took the punishment for my mistakes onto Yourself. Your sacrifice allowed me to stop living without You and start living with You. Thank You! Please continue to transform me by showing me how to love others in practical ways today. In Your name, Amen.

Looking Back Again

Tonight I was looking through my pictures on my Instagram account, and I can see how I have changed since then, and not only that, I can see just how much my family has changed and grown. We were so happy in those pictures, but those are just moments in time that cannot be relived. We can always look back at those days in time and remember the fun that was had. We can talk about those minutes and laugh again. We can think about those moments and the things that took place after them. Life is lived moment by moment, breath by breath of every second of every day. In those moments what do we do to leave good memories? How do we feel in those moments? Are we happy, sad, mad, angry, melancholy, nonchalant, distant, calm, joyful, and do we really even care how we are in those moments? Do we in those moments think about our future and how we want things to be in our lives? Do we make goals in those moments that we have just for the twenty-four hours that we have in one day? Most of all, do we think about all of the blessings that we have been given all of our lives; blessings that we do not even recognize? Are we thankful that we can look back over the years of our lives that we can never get back again? Are we appreciative that we have someone we can spend our lives with…to share those moments in time with? What would it be like if we did not? How would we feel?

When I look back over my life, I see Jesus making all things new. I see Him righting all of the wrongs, making crooked paths straight, moving trouble out of the way, opening doors for me that no man can shut, giving me strength when I am weak, comforting me when my heart is broken, drying my tears when I cry, putting a smile on my face when I am feeling sad, making miracles happen just at the right time, providing for me, taking care of me when I am sick, making the sun shine when it is cloudy, and putting a rainbow in the sky after it has rained. When you look back over your life, what do you see Jesus doing in your life? When I look way back over my life, I see Jesus taking the punishment that we all deserved, laying His life down for us, shedding His blood for us, taking the nails for us, dying for us, and rising again for us. He did it because He loved us…He still does and always will. Do you see that? Can you see it? When I close my eyes, I can see it. Sometimes I feel a sharp pain in the middle of my hands and feet, and it reminds me of what Jesus did for us all. I will never forget what Jesus did for us.

When you are having your quiet moments alone, just close your eyes and try to picture Jesus giving up His life…taking what belonged to us. Every time I read the New Testament, I can see everything that Jesus went through…I really can, and it still hurts me because He had to suffer for a sinful world of people who will reject Him, not believe in Him, or trust Him. His love kept Him on the cross for us. He came that we may have life, and life more abundantly. So, when we look back over our lives, let us not forget to look back and see what Jesus did for us.

What is it going to take for the world to see who Jesus really is? He is God! When we are praying, we are praying to Jesus, the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords, Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He knows all things before we even ask. He is God. The Holy Trinity, the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. He is the Blood, the Water, and the Spirit. If we did not have those three, we could not live. Jesus shed His blood. Water and Blood flowed from His side when the Roman soldier pierced Him in His side, and He died a man, came back as a man, and sent His Holy Spirit back to us so we would not be here on this earth alone like orphans. His Spirit lives in us, so therefore we live. Without His Spirit, we would die. Think about it. We all are spirits experiencing human lives. Our bodies eventually die, but our spirits return to God who created our spirits in the first place. We do not belong to ourselves, our lives are not our own, not even the breath we breathe.

When we look back in Genesis, God created Adam from the dust of the ground. Now, if God had not breathed into his nostrils, he would have just been a form of a man in the dirt, but when God breathed into his nostrils, Adam became a living soul. So you see, our breath belongs to God, which is His Spirit, and our bodies which was created from the dirt will go back to the dirt when we leave here; ashes to ashes and dust to dust. We are all just dust and ashes walking around in bodies made from the dust of the ground. Yes, woman came from man when God put Adam in a deep sleep and took one of his ribs and created Eve, so we too are bone of mans bone, and flesh of his flesh, but we are just more softer and feminine. God said that it was not good for a man to be alone, so He created females.

Human life began in the Garden of Eden, the first sin began in the Garden of Eden, the first eviction began in the Garden of Eden, the first clothes were made by God in the Garden of Eden, and the first murder was when Cain killed his brother Able. When we are looking back over our lives, we cannot look half way, we have to look back all of the way to the beginning. Everything has a beginning and an end. God sees everything from the end to the beginning, He sees the whole picture of our lives, we are just writing the story as we go along in this life. Everything that happens in our lives was already preordained before we were born. There is nothing that God does not already know about us, we just do not know everything about us, because if we did, we would not make some of the mistakes we make in our lives.

I thank God for allowing me to be where I am in my life today, because if it were not for Him, I would not be here. He has brought me through so much since I came into this world, and He protected me before I was born…when Satan tried to take my life, but I am still here. People just do not realize how good God is, especially those that do not know Him. It is never to late to ask Jesus to come into your heart to be your personal Lord and Savior today.

Just know that He is waiting to hear from you. Just always know that He loves you with an unending love. His love never fails. He will never give up on you. One day Jesus is coming back, and when He does it will be to late. Do not put off for tomorrow what you can do today, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Continue to wear your masks, and continue to social distance, and stay safe. Until next time, God bless everyone.

What Shall We Do For God TO Heal Our Land? 2 Chronicles 1:14

Sometimes we go through things in our lives that we do not understand. There is so much sin in the world, it has been like this for a very long time. The world has changed since the beginning of time, but sin still remains. Sickness, death, and famine is still here. There are not any cures for certain diseases, and now we are still going through this pandemic with COVID-19. The vaccines are here, but some are still losing their lives due to it. What is it going to take for all of this to come to an end? When will we start seeing numbers drop from this virus? Will there ever be a cure for it? This is something that we will always have to keep ourselves from by doing our best to say safe. We still have to follow the rules that were set in place for us when it first started last year. There is nothing wrong with keeping the precautions in place… it is just to keep us protected. We do not know who has what, so I think it is a good thing to still follow all of the rules. It has been very hard trying to adapt to something like this. Who would have ever thought that we would be going through something like this?

Second Chronicles 7:14God is telling us what we need to do for Him to heal or land. Are we going do what He is telling us to do, or are we going to ignore what He is telling us to do? The choice is ours. We are still going through this pandemic of COVID-19 just as we were last year when it first came. We are still wearing our masks, and social distancing as we were before, so what has changed? What is different except the vaccines that are here now? People are still losing their lives because of this virus that there is not one cure for. Only God can make this go away. We need to come together as a nation, put race aside and pray together so God will heal our land. I believe that when we do all that this Scripture tells us to do, God will start making a way for this pandemic to come completely to an end. In order to do this, we must have faith. We cannot doubt what God is telling us to do. I am so tired of people losing their lives because of this virus. Thank God for those who made it through when they were sick wit it, God is good. I hope all who comes across this post and read it will consider this Scripture and take it to heart. Just know that God loves all of us. He does not want to see people who He created die because of this virus. It is time for us to start fighting back, but the only way we can do it is with the Word of God. We cannot continue to let this virus claim lives. With that being said, if you have not asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart to be your personal Lord and Savior, please do so today. He is waiting on you to come to Him so He can wash your sins away. He will accept you just as you are. Thank you all for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul. Stay blessed.

BLESSED ARE WE

Matthew 5:7-9-“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called “sons” of God.

Let us look at the first Scripture. When we show mercy to people, we will be shown mercy, so therefore we are blessed because of it. There is nothing wrong with showing mercy when someone needs it. God has mercy on us every day. We are always making mistakes in our lives. Because God shows us mercy, He wakes us up after we have slept until the next day. We are to show and give mercy because it is what we are suppose to do. When someone wrongs us for whatever reason, we can ask God to have mercy on them, we do not have to worry about it anymore. When we show others mercy, we are showing them the love of God. It may be the first time that they may have seen the love, and mercy of God shared with them. Sometimes we are the only form of Jesus people see by the way we treat them.

Let us look at the next Scripture. A person having a pure heart has never held a grudge against anyone, hated anyone, lied on anyone, always respectful, loving , kind, follows God’s commands, and treats people how they want to be treated. They will be able to see God in those that are around them. Jesus is God in the flesh, and His Spirit lives in us. When someone see Jesus in us, they are blessed. We are blessed because His Spirit lives in us. It is His Spirit that keeps us alive. It is His Spirit that will not let us give up on our dreams. It is His Spirit that keeps us fighting the good fight of faith to cross the finish line.

Let us look at the last Scripture. Peacemakers are people who keeps the peace in situations that sometimes get out of hand. Jesus was a peaceful man. When they came to arrest Him in the garden, He did not put up a fight. He went peacefully with them. We are to be peacemakers to, it is what keeps strife away. Peacemakers talk about things instead of letting things get out of control, such as a mediator. Jesus is our mediator. He stands up for us and steps in any situation when He see it is going to get out of hand. He helps us to keep the peace in our homes, on our jobs, in the church also. Peacemakers are called “sons of God.” Let us always remember to keep the peace in everything.

THAT STILL SMALL VOICE

Listen ears for the One who created you, listen closely for that still small voice. Listen in the cool of the day for your Creator to walk softly by, to commune with you, speaking wisdom and knowledge into you. Listen ears for the instructions to be followed from that still small voice.

Speak voice to those who will listen to instruction, who will not take words for granted being spoken, but will take heed to that still small voice. Look on eyes of the One who gave you sight to see the beauty in the world, past the darkness that envelopes this world that is full of sin and death. Look towards the light of Who can break through it…just by speaking with that still small voice.

Walk on feet, walk on the streets of gold. Walking down the path to life everlasting…for all eternity…beholding the beauty of it all. Taking it all in…what a beautiful sight to the eyes to behold. Angels singing and rejoicing in unison over the lost soul who found their way back home…listening to that still small voice.

Everything About Jesus is Special. John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27” There are two kinds of peace: the worldly kind of peace and the Jesus Christ kind of peace. The worldly kind of peace does not solve the troubled heart of a child of God. This is so because the child of God has been born into a different family, that is, the family of heaven, and worldly peace cannot appease heaven. Another reason is that worldly peace is limited and outward but the heavenly peace/Jesus kind of peace is limitless and works from within before showing on the outside. It is the only solution to overcome fear, which fights us from the external forces of darkness. Dearly beloved, if you have Jesus Christ in your life you have this special kind of peace to overcome anxiety, fear, and a troubled heart. Hallelujah! It gives you the opportunity and privilege to soar higher in life, like the eagle. Dearly beloved, are you enjoying the peace of Christ Jesus? If not, tell us the kind of peace you are enjoying. Peace and Tranquility

Daily Devotional-James 5:16

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16” The opening scripture above is dealing with corporate prayer, which can be applied to prayer in general. Failure to forgive hinders corporate prayer; no wonder Apostle James said we should be bold enough to tell one another where we or they are going wrong so that corporate prayer can be a time of feasting and refreshing because answers are received and miracles, signs, and wonders are pronounced. As a child of God, you should not keep offence inside you as it will pollute your spirit. Go to the offender quickly and show him/her his/her fault quickly and politely before it begins to harm you. The enemy would want you to keep offence inside you so that he can rely on it to destroy your conscience and spiritual growth in prayer. Don’t allow him; put him to shame and enjoy prayer any time you pray alone, and especially church/corporate prayer meetings. Praise the Lord! We should think of all of our sisters and brothers in Christ, not just those who are our born relatives.

Morning and Evening Devotional

Morning A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me. β€” Song of Solomon 1:13 Myrrh may well be chosen as the type of Jesus on account of its preciousness, its perfume, its pleasantness, its healing, preserving, disinfecting qualities, and its connection with sacrifice. But why is he compared to β€œa bundle of myrrh”? First, for plenty. He is not a drop of it, he is a casket full. He is not a sprig or flower of it, but a whole bundle. There is enough in Christ for all my necessities; let me not be slow to avail myself of him. Our well-beloved is compared to a β€œbundle” again, for variety: for there is in Christ not only the one thing needful, but in β€œhim dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily;” everything needful is in him. Take Jesus in his different characters, and you will see a marvellous varietyβ€”Prophet, Priest, King, Husband, Friend, Shepherd. Consider him in his life, death, resurrection, ascension, second advent; view him in his virtue, gentleness, courage, self-denial, love, faithfulness, truth, righteousnessβ€”everywhere he is a bundle of preciousness. He is a β€œbundle of myrrh” for preservationβ€”not loose myrrh to be dropped on the floor or trodden on, but myrrh tied up, myrrh to be stored in a casket. We must value him as our best treasure; we must prize his words and his ordinances; and we must keep our thoughts of him and knowledge of him as under lock and key, lest the devil should steal anything from us. Moreover, Jesus is a β€œbundle of myrrh” for speciality; the emblem suggests the idea of distinguishing, discriminating grace. From before the foundation of the world, he was set apart for his people; and he gives forth his perfume only to those who understand how to enter into communion with him, to have close dealings with him. Oh! blessed people whom the Lord hath admitted into his secrets, and for whom he sets himself apart. Oh! choice and happy who are thus made to say, β€œA bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me.” Evening And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. β€” Leviticus 1:4 Our Lord’s being made β€œsin for us” is set forth here by the very significant transfer of sin to the bullock, which was made by the elders of the people. The laying of the hand was not a mere touch of contact, for in some other places of Scripture the original word has the meaning of leaning heavily, as in the expression, β€œthy wrath lieth hard upon me” (Psalm 88:7). Surely this is the very essence and nature of faith, which doth not only bring us into contact with the great Substitute, but teaches us to lean upon him with all the burden of our guilt. Jehovah made to meet upon the head of the Substitute all the offences of his covenant people, but each one of the chosen is brought personally to ratify this solemn covenant act, when by grace he is enabled by faith to lay his hand upon the head of the β€œLamb slain from before the foundation of the world.” Believer, do you remember that rapturous day when you first realized pardon through Jesus the sin-bearer? Can you not make glad confession, and join with the writer in saying, β€œMy soul recalls her day of deliverance with delight. Laden with guilt and full of fears, I saw my Saviour as my Substitute, and I laid my hand upon him; oh! how timidly at first, but courage grew and confidence was confirmed until I leaned my soul entirely upon him; and now it is my unceasing joy to know that my sins are no longer imputed to me, but laid on him, and like the debts of the wounded traveller, Jesus, like the good Samaritan, has said of all my future sinfulness, β€˜Set that to my account.’” Blessed discovery! Eternal solace of a grateful heart! β€œMy numerous sins transferr’d to him, Shall never more be found, Lost in his blood’s atoning stream, Where every crime is drown’d!” I Would like to share this with you. We may sometimes feel lonely, but we are never alone. Emmanuel is with us. God bless everyone.

James 2:19-26 KJV Bible, Faith and Works.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without work is dead?

Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the alter?

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

And the Scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified, by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Justified-(Adjective) (Theology)-Means declared or made righteous in the sight of God.

Just- (Adjective) Means based on or behaving according to what is morally right and fair.

Equitable-(Adjective) Means fair and impartial.

Iniquity-(Noun)-Means immoral or grossly unfair; wickedness; sinfulness.

Justice-(Noun)-Biblical references to the word “Justice” mean “to make right”. Justice is, first and foremost, a relational term- people living in right relationship with God, one another, and the natural creation. … As God is just and loving, so we are called to do justice and live in love.

FAITH

Hebrews 11:1-States “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” This passage concerning the function of faith in relation to the covenant of God is often used as a definition of faith. …This evidence for conviction is so positive or powerful that is described as faith.

When we think about faith, we want what we do not have, but when we pray, we must have faith to know that God hears us. God told Abraham to sacrifice his own son, and without hesitation, Abraham obeyed God to do what He had asked him to do. So when time came and they were where God showed him to go with Isaac, he went. He went through the necessary procedures to do what God asked, but the angel from heaven stopped him from killing his son, God provided a ram in the thicket for Abraham to sacrifice. God was testing Abraham’s faith to see would he give Him back his only son that was with him. Abraham did not know that God was going to provide something else for him to sacrifice in the place of Isaac.

When I think about how God sent HIs Only Son to this earth to die for our sins, I know it must have had to hurt His heart knowing that His Only Son was going to die for the sins of the whole world. Just as Abraham loved his only son, and when God told him to sacrifice Isaac, I know without a shadow of a doubt that his heart brake into a thousand pieces, and the hurt was great. Just as God had to turn from His own Son as He was hanging on the cross because of us, it had to hurt Him more than anything in the world. Jesus knew that He was going to rise on the third day, but had Abraham sacrificed Isaac, he was not going to rise again until the resurrection. God told Abraham that He was going to make him the father of many nations, He told Abraham to count the stars in the sky, and to count the grains of sand. Abraham trusted God, he had faith in God, he did not doubt God.

When God speaks to our spirit, and we know that He has spoken to us, what do we do? How do we feel? Do we doubt what we heard, do we believe what we heard? Do we thank God for speaking to us? Do we go and do what He has told us to do in faith, or do we doubt ourselves out of a blessing? We have faith that God will wake us up the next day, or when we have a nap. We have faith that God will give us what we want. We have faith that God will provide our every need. We have faith when we want Him to heal our loved ones. We have faith the seasons will change. We have faith that the sun will shine. The question is this, do we have faith and trust God whole heartedly through every circumstance in our lives and not just for certain things? Jesus showed us His faith, and He showed us the works of God, because He is God in the flesh. They could not believe in Jesus or the things that He did because of unbelief, and they did not have any faith. What is the point in having works and no faith? Think about this, when you are praying in your quiet time, do you believe in faith that God knows what you are going to ask Him for? Do you believe He will answer you? Do you have the faith of a grain of mustard seed? Having a little faith can move mountains. Use what faith you have when you go to God. He can strengthen your faith like never before, just ask in faith and believe. Don’t doubt God, and don’t your faith fade.

This song talks about how God’s love is for us, and what He does.

My Heart

My heart speaks of Your love that You gave to us from above. My heart sheds tears because of what You done for us, not with sadness, not for fear, because without You we would not be here.

My heart beats the melodies that You place there. My voice rings them out loud and clear. My heart cries out, and my soul joins in. It was darkness before this world began. What wonderful majesty You have with love so great. How when I can’t feel Your presence my heart aches. What could I do, where would I be, because without You thee would be no me.

My heart feels joy when I hear Your name. My heart in Your hands is where it will remain. Hold me tight, do not let me slip from Your grip. I am Your creation forever more.

My eyes watch day and night for Your return. My heart longs for You. This world is not my home I am just passing through. Keep watch over my soul for the rest of my days, because Jesus I want to be with You for always.

When my heart cannot sleep, I know You are right by my side…keeping the enemy away…keeping bad dreams away…holding my hand so I will not be afraid. Your love remains. Your mercy remains. Your forgiveness remains. Your grace remains. Forever You remain.

My heart is filled with fear when I cannot feel You near…I feel alone, on my own…in the dark without light…without the light of Your love. Your loving arms around me You put and wipe my tears away, that is how I know You are here to stay. To stay with me and never leave me alone. You will always be with me when I make my journey home.

Sometimes when life gets to be a bit much, I cannot feel God’s presence…it is very frightening to me. It makes me feel like I cannot live, my heart races. I cannot sleep sometimes when I feel like that. Those are the times when I know my faith is being tested. Those are the times when my faith is being made strong. When I am least expected, He places His hand on my shoulder to let me know that He was there the whole time. It is so refreshing to my heart and soul when that happens. My soul can rest within me and I can breathe again.

When I cannot sleep at night…when my mind just will not stop racing, I just ask Jesus to help me settle so I can rest, and before I know it I am fast asleep. I know I can always call on Jesus in everything I am going through, and you can to. He will always be there for us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He loves us. If you have not asked Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior, you may want to make that decision, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us. It will be the best decision you will ever make in your life for all eternity. God bless, and stay safe.
