Day Two Scripture Verse: Isaiah 26:1-13

Singing Christmas Carols.

In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: for he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them. LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. O LORD our God, other Lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. Isaiah 26:1‭-‬13 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.26.1-13.KJV

Day One Scripture Verse: Isaiah 9:1-7

Merry and Bright.

Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:1‭-‬7 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.9.1-7.KJV

Verse of the Day: Psalm 47:1

Bright and beautiful.

O clap your hands, all ye people; Shout unto God with the voice of triumph. Psalm 47:1 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.47.1.KJV

Thinking About Faith

Has there ever been something that you may have been hoping for, or waiting to receive from God? Did you ever feel as if you were never going to receive it? Well, let us look at what Hebrews say about faith.

Hebrews 11:1-3 : Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the *elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

When we really understand faith and how it works, then we can have hope in knowing that we will receive whatever we ask God for in faith.

Sometimes we may have to wait to receive what we ask for, but while we are waiting we should be praying that our faith remain strong. We all go through things where we have to have faith and trust God to bring us through whatever it is.

When we have faith, we are taking God at His Word. We are holding on to what God tells us. We will not doubt anything He tells us. When we look through the Scriptures in Hebrews, we can read about those who had faith in God.

Heroes of Faith:

Abel

Enoch

Noah

Abraham

Sara

Isaac

Jacob

Joseph

The Parents of Moses

Moses

Joshua

Rahab

There are others also:

Gedeon

Barak

Samson

Jephthae

David

Samuel

These are all of those who had faith. Hebrews, Chapter 11 has given us a description of who had faith and what some had to go through.

Verse 39 says this: And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

Verse 40: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

We are imperfect people just as they were, but they had faith in God and so should we. They didn’t get to receive the promise, but we have, and He is Jesus Christ. He is who we build our faith upon. He is the one who has all of the power to do whatever He chooses to do in heaven and on earth. He is our only hope for us to live a better life. What would we do without faith? What would we do if we did not have Jesus to hold on to?

Having faith is what helps us make it through the tough times, such as what we are facing now with this new virus, and the ones before it. We would not be able to make it without having faith in God.

Yes, it looks like this is never going to end. Yes, we are tired of what we are facing on a daily basis. Yes, we are tired of having to wear a mask everywhere we go. Yes, we are tired of not really being able to have fun like we want to. Yes, we need a breakthrough and a miracle from God, but what can we do except have faith that one day this will all come to an end.

Worrying about it will not solve anything, it will only cause more stress and anxiety, and that is something that no one wants to deal with; it is just too much! I know that it may be hard to remain positive because of what is going on. People are still passing away because of this virus. Hospitals are still full because of this virus; people young and old fighting for their lives.

All we can do is pray everyday for a better tomorrow, and pray for a better future for generations to come.

I know it has been a good while since I have actually written an article, but I felt the need to remind everyone to hold on to their faith. Please do not give up on God because He will never give up on us.

Talk to Jesus today, He is waiting to hear from you. God bless, stay safe, and thank you for coming along with me on my journey with Food for the Soul. ©2021

Blooming Lily

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Will Men Ever Treat Their Wives Right?

When a man and a woman starts dating, fall in love, get married, start a family, everything is good in the beginning. As time, months, and years come and go, things sometimes happen that will cause a relationship to fall apart. It could be that they grow apart from one another especially if one is being pushed away, or have been pushed away throughout the relatioship.

When there are children involved, they see what is going on, but if they are not old enough to know, or old enough to understand, they will be in the dark for a long period of time until they are old enough to know what’s going on, and understanding the matter at hand.

The couple does not understand how it will affect the children. It may cause them depression, anxiety, and it may even cause them to rebel, such as acting out, not wanting to go to school, skipping class, or hanging with a bad crowd of people who could possibly land them in lots of trouble.

Sometimes we try to hold onto something that we know may never work out. No matter how hard we try to make things work in a relationship, if it is done. There is counseling for such things as this, but whose to say if it will or won’t work?

Normally men will start to show dislike in the relationship before the woman. They make up every excuse in the book as to why they are acting the way they are. They make up excuses such as, “I’m tired, or they will just get up and leave and not take their phone, or “accidentally forget to put their ring on, or whispers on the phone, or go into another room, or outside while on the phone.” Those are red flags in a females eyes in which they do not understand that we realize what’s going on.

They may even pick an unnecessary fight, or start an argument for no reason over something small and petty just to leave home. Just who do they think they’re trying to fool? When they get caught, they try to put everything on the female when they are the ones doing wrong.

Just what makes a man think that they can just call a woman out of her name? I guess they forget that a woman had to have them so they could be in the world. I suppose they think that they had themselves. They think that all women are good for is cleaning up after them, washing their clothes, having their children, and pleasuring them. But low and behold if they get sick!, their whole world comes to an end. Guess what? We have to take care of them. If it were the other way around, does anyone think they would do it for us?

I am not saying that all males are that way, but I am making a clear point. This is something I have wanted to talk about for a very long time. I am just fed up with all of the nonsense that has been going on for as long as I can remember. I look at it like this. A relationship will work if it is meant to be, but if it is not meant to be, there is nothing that can, or will make it work, not even prayer unless you want it to.

I am sure everyone will have their own opinion about this article, but this is just how I feel. I will not apologize for the truth, or how I feel about this matter. My words, my thoughts, my article. I will always write and speak what I feel.

No matter where people are in the world, there is always something going on in a relationship.
