We Get Knocked Down But We Are Not Destroyed 2 Corinthians 4:7-9

There are times in our lives when we get knocked down. We do not stay down, we get back up. Jesus will lift us up when we get knocked down, He will never leave us there. Sometimes we get knocked down in our spirit, when we are on our jobs, and sometimes just by life itself. As Jesus carried His cross on His back, He fell going up that long dusty road to be crucified, but He got back up every time. He did not let that stop Him from doing what He knew He was destined to do for us. He never complained along the way; He embraced it. He was obedient.

This is what the Scripture says in Second Corinthians 4:7-9-But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed-

Getting knocked down does not make us weak, it makes us stronger. We get up and we keep on going no matter what the situation may be. We never give up on our hopes and our dreams, because Jesus will never give up on us. He wants us to have the desires of our hearts. We need to go to Him even when we fall, not just when we are standing and nothing is going wrong. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God according to Romans 3:23. We serve a forgiving God, and when we fall, or get knocked down, He picks us up and set our feet on a plain path. It is the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal life.

Matthew 7:13-14: The Narrow Way “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Yes, we get knocked down, but we are on our journey to a better place. We are on our way to our home not built by mans hands. All praises be to our God, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was and is and is to come! Amen!

The Ten Commandments

When reading Exodus, I see what the Hebrew people went through, and it also made me see how we sometimes complain about things that just don’t make sense. They had a very good reason to complain, they were being treated like slaves because of who they were as people. God heard them and did something about it; He sent Moses and although Moses questioned God about it, he went. See, God will use us for things that we do not understand or make sense to us, but in the end, it all does make sense. For forty years they complained and wondered in the desert. Their hearts had turned against God and Moses, but God led them by a cloud in the day and by fire at night to light their way while they traveled. They still complained all the more, nothing was good enough, so that generation did not get to enter the Promised Land. Because of Moses disobedience, he did not get to enter the Promised Land. He saw it from afar and after it was all said and done, Moses died on Mount Nebo and that is where God buried him. God set the Ten Commandments in place for us to obey Him and worship Him. They are our rules for living how we should live. What we should and shouldn’t do. We all fall short sometimes, but we have a God that loves us so much that He forgives us that we may have a chance to start again. God is Great. Don’t forget to tell Him how wonderful He is.

Our Redeemer Has Risen Indeed!!

Today is Resurrection Day! Our Savior is alive forever more. How wonderful it is to know that He overcame death and the grave! His power is magnificent in all of the earth. Because He lives, we can be confident in knowing that we will be raised on that great getting up morning when we all get to go to heaven and be with Him forever. How wonderful it is to know that His Spirit lives in us. Those of us who are called by His name will get to sit at the welcome table with Him and commune with Him forever.

We saw Him first after He was risen from the dead. We were the one that was told to go and tell everyone that He had risen. Jesus always keeps His promises; all of His promises are yes and Amen. He is our God and King forever. His sacrifice will never be forgotten. Every time I see a cross, I think about what Jesus done for us all. There will never be a love like His. There will never be no one like Him ever again. He is the Son of God! The foundation of our faith is built upon Him. He is our solid rock on which we can stand that is unmovable. There is no shadow of turning in Him. He is always with us. Before He went up to be with His Father and our Father, He told us that he would always be with us even until the end of the age. He sent the Holy Spirit back to us so that we would not be here alone. He said that He would not leave us as orphans, that the comforter would come, and He did.

THE HOLY SPIRIT PROMISED.( ACTS CHAPTER 1:4-8) And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which”, He said, you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now”. Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom of Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”(New King James Version)

Everything happened just as Jesus said it would. We can put all of our hope, faith, and trust in Jesus. There is not anyone on this earth that can tell me different.

COMING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT(ACTS 2:1-4)-When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance.

Every word in the Bible is true. From Genesis to Revelation. There cannot be anything added to it or taken away from it. God said every word and that sealed it in heaven and on earth. May God be Praised forever!

Deliverance from the Son of God

We know that Nebuchadnezzar was the King during the time of Daniel. We know that he wanted people to bow to his golden statue that he had erected whenever the people would hear the horn sound. We know that they all did except Shadrach, Meschach, and Abed-Nego. When they did not bow like everyone else, Nebuchadnezzar had his servants to put a fire in the furnace seven times hotter than usual, but when they did, they were killed by the fire. Shadrach, Meschach, and Abed-Nego were bound and thrown into the fire. He asked his counselors did they not cast three men into the fire, and they told him yes.

He told them to look because he saw four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

We are all in need of deliverance from God. We go through things that only God can deliver us from. We struggle with making the right decisions for our lives, making the right decision as to what job to take, what house to buy, what car to buy, and the right pair of shoes to wear. Sometimes we need God to deliver us from ourselves, because sometimes we can be our own worst enemies. When we take our mind off of the one that has all of the answers, we sink just as Peter did when he took his eyes off Jesus when He told him to come to Him on the water when Jesus was walking on the water to the boat in the storm. Had Peter not taken his eyes off of Jesus, he would not have sank. He was worried about what was going on around him instead of who was calling him, so Jesus delivered him by pulling him out of the water. That is the way we are. We feel like we have all of the answers to the problems that we go through, but we don’t. We have to ask God for deliverance from those problems that we have in our lives.

We have to make the decision to obey God if we want Him to be there when we need Him. Shadrach, Meschach, and Abed-Nego obeyed God rather than man, and Jesus came and delivered them from the fiery furnace.

The Most Important Commandment

In Matthew chapter 22, Jesus is talking to the people about a lot of things. But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they thought up a fresh question of their own to ask him. One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question: “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”

Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: “Love your neighbor as yourself. All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments”.

We are to love the Lord with all of our heart not just part of it. He loved us enough to send His Son into this sinful world to die for us. He took our punishment that we deserved. It was our sins that put Him on the cross, but it was His love for us that kept Him there. He could have called on every angel in heaven to take Him off that cross but He didn’t. That is real love. How many people can say that someone other than Jesus laid down their life for them? How many people can say that they will sacrifice themselves for someone because they love them? Jesus is the only person that I know. There is no one like Him and there never will be.

We must love the Lord our God with all of our soul because our souls belongs to Him. When we leave this earth our bodies will be laid to rest, but when our soul leave our body, it returns to our Creator. We are souls living a human experience. If we did not have these bodies to live in we would not be able to live as humans. We would not be able to be fruitful and multiply. We would not be able to do anything. Thank God for giving us these bodies to live in.

We must love the Lord our God with all of our mind because He gave us our mind. We are always to be thinking about all of the things He has done for us since He created this world. We should never forget how He loves us. He paid the price for us at Calvary. That is a price we will never ever be able to repay. He shed His blood for us! We are to always tell our children what He did for us so they can tell their children some day. We must always remember to Worship and Praise Him for everything. He gives us our lives every day. He provides for us when we are going through hard times. He makes a way when there seems to be no way. HE is our everything, so we must remember Him and be mindful of His presence around us at all times.

If you want to know just how much God loves us, read John 3:16. Don’t forget to pray and read God’s Word, He’s waiting to hear from you. Amen.

When We Don’t Feel His Presence

There are times when we may be going through something that we don’t understand. There may be times when a loved one is gone home to be with the Lord, and we may feel like it was to early. We grieve and it feels like we are alone. We don’t feel His presence because of the numbness that we feel from anger. We must know that He is always with us even when we don’t feel His presence. He carry us through the rough times, and He carry us through the good times. When we don’t feel His presence, we feel like we have been abandoned by the only true love that we have. Our hearts ache and hurt for His presence. We began to feel afraid and in despair. We must know that He has not forgotten about us; He is just giving us a little more time to pray. He is giving us time to understand that we need to have faith in Him and trust Him in all circumstances in our lives. We are human, and He is Spirit, He is always here. He watches over us every minute of every second of the day and night. He is always with us. When we don’t feel His presence, He is moving danger and harm out of our path that we may not come to it. He is making all of the crooked paths straight so that we may stay on a plain path, and that path is the straight and narrow. That straight and narrow path is the path that leads us to eternal life with Jesus Christ, our Savior. Just remember He is always with us even when we don’t feel His presence. May the Lord bless all who reads this passage.Amen.

Even at night His presence is with us.💯💯💯

The Son of God

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came into this world born of a virgin. Jesus grew up as children grow up, but He was special. His mother knew all of these things about her son that no one else knew. She knew that He was the Savior that was spoken about by the prophets that knew the Scriptures. When Jesus was grown, and time came for Him to start His ministry, He came to the Jordan River where John, His cousin was baptizing people. John had already told the people about His coming, but when He came, no one recognized Him as the Savior of the world. John baptized Jesus, and when He came up out of the water, they heard a voice from heaven, and a dove lighted upon His shoulder, and God said,”This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”

We should be pleased with God and all that He does for us. He did not have to send His Son into this world to save sinners like us, but He loved us so much that He did not want any of us to perish in our sins. While we were still sinners, God demonstrated His love for us by His Son’s death on the cross for us. He was the only one that could make things right for us. He was the only one that could fill in the gap that separated us from God because of sin. Jesus is the perfect Lamb of God.

When we read the Bible, we see things that Jesus done that we may believe He is the Savior of the world, and that He is the Son of God. There are people who lived during that time that didn’t believe in Jesus, or believe that He is who His disciples said He was. It is still that way today. There are people that has never heard His name, or know anything about Him.

He loves all of us whether or not all believe in Him or not. He gave His life for us. He took the punishment that we all deserved for our sins. He forgave us then, and He forgives us now for all of the wrong things that we have done and will do. He is a forgiving God. He is loving and kind, but He can be angry when we just continue to do wrong. His chastisement is good for us, because it teaches us to do right. It teaches us to honor Him, because He is out creator. God is just and true in all that He does. He is the same today, yesterday, and forever. He never changes. We are the ones that needs to change so that one day we may live with Him for all eternity.

In Revelation 22:13, Jesus tells us that He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

In Revelation 22:16, Jesus tells us that He is the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.

Jesus tells us these things that we may know exactly who He is. We need to know who He is that we may tell our children and grand children about Him and what HE done for us all. He wants us to trust Him, and trust in Him, and trust God, and to put all of our hope, and faith in God. He loves us.

If there is someone that needs to have a relationship with God, and to know Jesus as their Lord and savior, here is a prayer they can pray: Dear God, I know that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that You sent Your one and only Son, Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again on the third day and ascended into heaven with all power in His hands in heaven and on earth. I repent of my sins and I want to ask You Jesus for Your forgiveness and to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You Jesus, Amen.

It is that simple. You have now just made the greatest decision you will ever make in your life. Continue to walk with God. Never let go of His hand. He will keep you on the path of righteousness until you are at home with Him. Amen.
