Picture Verse-Luke 6:45

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Luke 6:45 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.6.45.KJV

Prayer For Today according to the Scripture for today.

God, I want to draw near to You, but I don’t always know how to do that. Sometimes I find myself choosing to do what is comfortable over what is good. Please help me. Show me how to guard my heart, and then please help me to make wise choices that honor You. Let whatever I say and do be a reflection of my love for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Power of Your Words Devotional-Reading Plan

The Power of Your Words • Devotional https://bible.com/reading-plans/22139/day/3?segment=0

Think about the words you are going to say before you say them. They can hurt and encourage people. Chose to encourage and lift people up.
  • What kind of words do you use to lift people up? Do you even care about the words that proceed from your mouth everyday? Just how many people have you lifted up? How many people have you torn down by the words you use on a daily basis? How do you feel when you belittle someone when you use the words you use? Think about how it makes God feel when you belittle someone He has created just like He created you. Choose your words wisely, because God hears them all. How does your conscience feel when you tear someone down with the words you use? Does it feel good, or does it feel bad? Do you cry because of the wrong you’ve done to someone with the words you said to them? Do you ever ask for forgiveness from that person? Do you ever apologise to them? Do you go to God and repent and ask Him for forgiveness? This is why we should think before we speak. Words hurt whether we realise it or not. If something good cannot be said about someone, then do not say anything at all. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
