When life becomes tough we don’t know what to do. We often wonder why bad things happen to good people, but when it rains, it pours. Life is unpredictable, we never know what’s going to happen from one day to the next. As life goes on from day to day struggles and troubles come to knock us down, such as sickness, debt, job loss, and everything in between. When that happens, it frustrates us and causes stress, depression, and anxiety. I know that we all have been through things, go through things, and come through things that we thought we couldn’t, but the good thing about it is that we are never alone.

When I think about life becoming tough, I think about the Apostles. They all went through things that they never thought they would, and think about what Jesus went through the night before He was crucified. Think about what He went through in the garden when He was praying. At times, we all become afraid of something that we are going through that we don’t understand.

Jesus never told us that life was going to be easy. He didn’t tell us that we were not going to have troubles, but He did tell us to be encouraged, and take heart because He overcame the world. So, with that being said, we can overcome the obstacles that we face in our lives. Whatever we are going through we can give it to Him. We can leave it at His feet and not have to worry about anything. Whether it’s sickness, heartache, and pain, we can leave it with Jesus. He can fix everything in our lives, solve all of our problems, and give us strength when we ask for it.

I never thought my life would turn out like this but it has. My life is great! The new journey I am on now is remarkable because it happened suddenly. I am amazed at the new things I am doing now that was once just a dream out of my reach. I don’t know where this journey will take me but I am enjoying every minute of it. Do we ever pay attention to what we are reading when we are reading the Bible? Do we take the Word and apply it in our lives so we can be better spiritually, physically, and emotionally? How does it really make us feel when we see passages which may pertain to ourselves and what we are going through? Well, this is where we have to see by faith. Often we think that what we see clearly in the natural is all there is to be seen, but how wrong we are. There are things that we do not see what’s going on around us in the spirit realm every second of every day. There are times when we may ask God for something and He doesn’t respond how, and when we want Him to. How does it make us feel? It makes us feel like He is not listening, but again that’s where we are wrong; He hears our every word and thought in our hearts and mind.

We do not all see clearly as we ought to see, but when we focus on Jesus, He helps us to see what we need to change about ourselves. Faith is the most important thing that we need to have and see in Jesus. He is who we build our faith in. He is our firm foundation. When we can’t see clearly, our sight is distorted by sin, but when we go to Jesus and ask in faith for Him to remove things from us such as bad habits, we have to believe and see by faith that He will do it. We walk by faith and not by sight. We cannot see spiritually if we are blinded by sin, and if we are blinded by sin, we cannot understand what God is telling us through His Word. When our hearts are closed spiritually, we cannot receive God’s Word in our hearts, so therefore, we must be open to receiving the spiritual things from God’s Word in our hearts. Our minds, our hearts, and our soul belong to God, but there are those who will never know until they accept Jesus. There are those who will never see because they are blinded by sin.

Sin is dark, it’s connected to Satan, and we all know that He comes to steal, kill, and destroy! He doesn’t want anyone to turn to God in repentance. He wants to take many souls to hell with him because he knows that’s where he is going to spend all eternity. Don’t be deceived sisters and brothers by the things of this world, because this world is passing away and the only thing that will be left standing is the Word of God forever and ever. When we pay close attention to the things going on around us, we can see that the Word of God is fulfilling itself on Earth. Everything that’s happening is in the Word of God. Let us not be hardened by the truth, but let the truth set us free, and that truth is in Jesus Christ.
