Empty Nest
When we have our children we know they are going to one day leave us. Are we ever ready for that day to come? Are we prepared for them to tell us that they are ready to leave home? Are we ever ready to cut the apron strings? Do we ever get over the fact that they want to have their own lives, experience life, make mistakes and learn from them, experience the world around them, and make their own way?
Well, yes and no. Yes we want them to experience all that life has to offer in this world, but no because we cannot live their lives for them, we cannot make their mistakes and learn from them for them, but we must know that we raised them right to make good choices and decisions in life.
All we can do is support them and let them know that we are there should they need us. We can pray for them to be strong and not give up on themselves.
We who are empty nesters need support too. Our child raising days are over. We no longer have to tend to them as we did when they were born. We have our lives back to do what makes us happy, but what is that? We spend our lives being parents so that is all we know. It is hard to bounce back to not raising children.
It takes a lot of doing to find what makes us happy again; don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed raising our children; if I could do it all over again I wouldn’t do anything different.
Yes, it takes a village, but it also takes the Hand of God! We would not be able to raise our children if God we’re not in the picture. He gives us strength in those hard times when we have to stay up with them because of a tummy ache, teething, or just restless and can’t sleep. Those years are what I call “The Growing Years”.
We grow with our children, we get to know them and they get to know us. They learn that they can depend on us all of their lives , just as we depend on God. They learn that we love them just as God loves us. So, no. We never stop being parents even after they are gone and leaves us with an empty nest.

Praising God Through It All
These are trying times that we are going through. I know it is hard to understand all of this chaos, but the world is in distress right now. We may wonder why things are the way they are, but through it all we must Praise God.
We are to Praise God in all circumstances in life. He is the only One that can solve this pandemic , He is the only One with the ultimate cure for it, and that cure is His Son Jesus Christ.
All sickness and disease is the work of the enemy, and that enemy is Satan. He comes to steal , kill , and destroy, and to wreak havoc on this earth. We must cast this down from whence it came… Every sickness and disease must obey God’s command in the name of Jesus Christ.
Yes, what we are going through is a terrible thing, but God has it under control . He knows how we are feeling about all of this. He knows that things were going to be this way. He knew that there were going to be fear all over the world.
All we can do is pray that it will soon come to an end; we cannot lose faith; we must trust God. He will see us through this. Yes, it is very hard now not being able to do the things that we’ve come accustomed to, like socializing, hanging out with friends, and most of all going to church. God knows our hearts, and that is why I am glad He is using me on my job to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is such a blessing that He has placed me there for such a time as this.
Everyone needs to be lifted up in these trying times. Everyone needs to be encouraged. We must never forget that God loves all of us. He will never leave us nor forsake us; He will always be with us. We cannot let COVID-19 keep us in fear. When we know who Jesus is, we must know that He calms our fears; we have nothing to worry about. We must still take the precautions that have been set in place to prevent the spread of it.
God will protect His children. Those of us that are called by His name are covered with the Blood of Jesus. If you have not asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, don’t waste another minute. He is waiting with His arms open wide waiting to welcome you home again. Run to Him, not from Him. He lives, and He loves you.

Never Alone
All through my life I felt like I was alone. It felt like something was missing in my life, but I couldn’t understand why. As a child I was quiet and content, but sometimes I just didn’t know why. Then one day I figured out that I was a quiet spirit. I never said anything unless someone said something to me… I guess you could say that I was kind of shy.
As I grew up, I began to feel a presence around me; I could not understand why I was feeling it, but I did. I didn’t know or understand where it came from. I was not afraid. I enjoyed that presence around me.
One Sunday morning I was at church and the preacher was preaching. He was preaching about God and the Holy Spirit. He told us about how Jesus sent His Spirit back to be with us so we would not be alone, and that is when I learned about the Holy Spirit; then I knew who it was with me., I never told a living soul.
As I continued to learn and grow I began to experience things in the Spirit that only God could show me. He showed me things that no one would believe. I was never alone for one moment ever again.
To this day He still shows me things, He still speaks to me. He is still leading and guiding me, and helping me to become the person that He wants me to be. No, I am not perfect yet not by any means, but I am a work in progress, until I am; I am just going to keep learning and praying for others as the Spirit leads me to.
One thing that I can truly say is that I am never alone. He is always with me wherever I go. He said that He would never leave me nor forsake me… even when it is time for me to go home to be with Him in my heavenly home that he has prepared just for me.
Give your life to Him today… because tomorrow just may be too late. He is waiting to hear from you dear soul… He loves you. He died that we may have life eternal forever and ever. This world is not our home, we are just spirits passing through that are on our way home.

Prayer
Prayer is the most important thing in a person’s life that calls themselves a Christian. Why is it important? It is important because it is what Jesus Christ, our Savior did early in the morning alone in a quiet solitary place. He wanted to be alone with His Father, and our Father to commune with Him. Jesus prayed for all of us before we were born. He prayed for us while he was on the Cross, by saying, ”Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” He said that for all people, not just for those that were there that day.
See, when we pray and give it all to God we have nothing to worry about. When He forgives us, we are forgiven. We are set free. Prayer is powerful. Prayer changes things, and it can change us if we let it. In order for that to happen, we must want to change for the better so we can be better, not just for ourselves, but also for Jesus.
Prayer can soften the hardest hearts. Prayer can make us love our enemies, and pray for those that have wronged us. Prayer brings us closer to Jesus: it helps our faith to grow stronger, and also our trust in God. We all need prayer at some point in our lives. We are human beings. We need to always be watching and praying because of the enemy that is out there to destroy us.
OUR ENEMY!!!!
We have an enemy, and his name is Satan. He is a liar and the father of all lies. That is just who he is. He walks this earth seeking to steal, kill, destroy, and wreak havoc. He is trying to turn many people against God so they will follow him, but what those don’t know that follow him is that their destination is HELL for all eternity!!!
He tried to tempt Jesus, but Jesus fought him with God’s Word and that is what we have to do too. We have authority over the enemy, he has no power over us unless it is given to him. We must use God’s Word every day of our lives to fight the enemy. He was defeated two thousand years ago, and he is still defeated. He already knows that his destiny is Hell. Hell was not created for people; it was created for Satan and the demons and all of the angels that fell with him when God kicked him out of heaven.
We have a choice of who we are going to serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!! Choose this day who you will serve while it is called today. Don’t wait until it is too late. Choose while the blood is still running warm in your veins because can a dead person praise the Lord? The answer is NO!! You must have a made up mind. Choose today, because tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone, not even our next breath.
Our bodies return to dust but our souls belongs to God. We all are going to have to stand before Him someday to give an account for everything that was done in our lives here on earth. Whether it be good or bad we will have to answer for it.
Do you want to live an eternal life with Jesus, or do you want to burn for all eternity with Satan, choose where you want to spend eternity. God sent His One And ONLY SON TO DIE FOR OUR SINS so we would not be separated from Him anymore!! When we believe in Jesus and turn our lives over to Him, we have eternal life in Him!! (See John 3:16). Jesus is the Living Word. Try Jesus, but don’t wait until it is to late.
If you have not talked to Jesus in a very long time for whatever reason, or if you have never spoken to Him and would like to get to know Him, call on His Precious name; He will answer. He is always ready to listen. He will come to you wherever you are. He loves you so much, more than you will ever know. Repent of your sins and ask Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior; you will be glad you did. It is the most important decision you will ever make in your life.
May God bless you and keep you in the hollow of His beautiful hands. Amen.

Having Faith
As we go through life, we go through things that we don’t understand. We question God about the things that we are going through because we want answers. There are times when He is silent and we don’t know why. We often wonder if He is there, if He is listening to us in all of the silence. To us it is as if He has forgotten about us, but that isn’t the case; He is just giving us a little more time to pray, to strengthen our faith to the point that we will fully trust and believe in Him.
Life brings us obstacles that we have to work through, but we must let God lead and guide us through all of our circumstances that we face. Times may change but God never will. He said that He would never leave us nor forsake us; He will be with us even when we are called home to be with Him. We have to just stop and think and say to ourselves that we may feel alone in our trying times, but through it all we are not. No, we cannot see God Like we see each other, but He is real, and He is very much alive. He does things that we don’t understand, but it is good for us.
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. When we study God’s Word we draw faith and strength from it. When we have faith as a grain of a mustard seed we can move mountains. God wants us to have mustard seed faith; that is faith that is unwavering. That is the kind of faith that we have; the deep knowledge of God, His Spirit that keeps us in perfect peace because we trust Him. That is the kind of faith that will bring us through anything that we may face. It does not matter what we go through in this life, God will always go through it all with us.
When we feel we can’t walk through the struggle, He will carry us. When we feel we can’t take it anymore, He will give us strength to carry on. When we become discouraged, He will lift us up with an encouraging word. When we feel that life is becoming a bit much, He will strengthen our faith. When we don’t know which way to turn, He will give us divine direction. When we cannot turn off the thoughts that stress us out, He will give us sweet peaceful sleep. When our nightmares frighten us with fear, He will give us beautiful dreams, and beauty where there were ashes, joy for our sorrows, and wipe every tear from our eyes.
We have a Father that will literally go to our hearts and fix whatever is broken, because that is just who He is, He is Love. There is nothing that He cannot do. Nothing is to big or to small that He cannot fix it. You know, God is good. He is better to us than we will ever be to ourselves. His love for us will never fail; it is from everlasting to everlasting. I am so glad that I gave my life back to Him. If you haven’t had a conversation with the Creator today, or for a very long time, have some time set aside and just talk to Him about everything, empty your heart out to Him. He is waiting to hear from you.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and I hope everyone has a Happy and Richly Blessed New Year.

Matthew 5:16
We don’t have to let everyone know what we are praying for when we pray. When we pray, that is between us and God. It is for His ears only.
What does it profit us when we pray about something and still worry about it? That is telling God that we really don’t trust Him to fix the situation. We have to know that He will always keep us in perfect peace while He is working it all out.
When we trust Him, we have nothing to worry about. We can know that God is in control and faithful to do what He has promised us.
No matter what tomorrow brings, just know that God is already there. Everything is going to be alright. If you have not asked Jesus to come into your life today, please do so, because He loves you very much.

Matthew 6:19.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Matthew 6:19 KJV
In this verse, Jesus is telling us that when we leave this Earth that every material thing is going to be left behind, we cannot take it with us. It is better to have our treasures in heaven where it cannot be stolen from us. We came into this world with nothing to call our own, not even the very breath we breathe. Jesus is our treasure and heaven is our home, this world is not our home. No one can break into heaven and steal anything. As we live on this Earth in our homes; theives can Rob us and take our belongings, but no one can take the treasure of our heart from us, not now, not ever. We are not to treasure material things, because it rusts, wears out, dryrott, and becomes eaten by moths.
In heaven, that is something that will never happen. We should be thankful that we have a Savior who protects us in all situations down here on this Earth from heaven. His presence is always with us. We must come to understand that we will get to be with Him someday. Just as we thank Him for everything now, we will get to see Him face to face and thank Him for what He did for us. Jesus is our treasure who will never leave us nor forsake us. We never have to worry about being alone and afraid of anything, because His perfect love casts out all fear. He is always watching over His creation; that includes us. If you have not asked Jesus into your heart to be your personal Lord and Savior today, please do so, because He is waiting to become your personal treasure. Amen.
