Mount Carmel

Amos 1:1-The words of Amos, who was among the headmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of king Joash king of Israel , two years before the earthquake.

Amos 1:2-And he said, The Lord will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

I wanted to share with you this morning what I have read in the Book of Amos (KJV) . I haven’t read this book in a while and I wanted to understand it better. I wanted to take my time and read it again so I can understand what’s going on and what God is going to do, and why.

I am not going to try to explain it because I have to have a complete understanding of it before I can. It is exciting to see what’s going on, and what is about to take place. God is speaking a lot in this book so, if you decide to read it, pay close attention to what God is saying because it is important.

I like how God explains things before He does it. It lets me know that God doesn’t play. H always does what He says He is going to do. We know what to expect before it happens. God always spoke to His Prophets to let them know what was going to happen before it happened. They delivered messages that He told them to deliver. God was very loud when He was upset because when I see the word “thundered,” I know God is mad.

Feel free to read the book of Amos, you may find it interestingly educational when it comes to reading what God is saying that is going to take place. One thing I am certainly sure of is that God will perform His Word.
