Spending Time with God

Have you ever thought about how you get up in the mornings and go about your day never thinking about thanking the LORD for letting you see another day? Do you ever wonder how that makes Him feel? Do we ever consider His feelings? He looks upon us with love in His eyes because that is just who He is, but do we think about Him with love in our eyes and in our heart?

Sometimes we go the whole day without saying anything to Him until we want or need something from Him. The question is this: Do we ever think about spending time with Him? Do we not realize that we are supposed to have a relationship with Him because He is our Father? He wants us to spend time with Him, and He wants to spend time with us. Even if we just spend five or ten minutes with Him, it matters. If we spend every minute with Him, it matters. The closer we are to Him the happier we will be. We will feel His presence with us, and I know for myself that this is true because when I feel HIs presence it makes my soul happy.

When we spend time with God, we are not only spending time with our Father, but we are spending time with the Creator of the whole entire universe, the Creator of all flesh; every living thing. When we spend time with God, we can pour our hearts out to Him and we never have to worry about it going any further. He already knows everything we are feeling, and everything we are going through in our life. We should be thankful that we have someone we can talk to when we are at that point in our life. Spending time with God is special. We know that He will always be ready to listen to what we have to say and comfort us when we are weeping.

When we take the time to spend time with God, it shows Him that we just do to want to come to Him when we need or want something. It shows Him that we care about Him and love Him because of who He is. If it were not for Jesus, we would not be able to do that. If He had not sent Jesus into this world to die for our sins, we would not have a chance in the world to spend time with God, we would be separated from Him for all eternity.

I want to ask this question: Do you know Him? If not, do you want to know Him? If the answer is yes, all you have to do is repent, apologize to God, and ask Jesus to come into your heart to be your personal LORD and SAVIOR. It will be the best decision you can make in your life for your eternal life. It is your choice, and it is your life where you want to spend eternity. Only Jesus can save your soul, no one else. It doesn’t matter where you are from, or what you have done; no one is defined by their past. You are not what your past says you are, you are who Jesus says you are. When God created people. He did not create any junk, He created masterpieces in His image. We are all special to God; we are His children no matter what. His love endures forever. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He will always be with us even until the end of the age. Seek Him today. He is waiting to hear from you today to change your life forever.

As always, God bless you, stay safe, and thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

Time is all we have, so we must spend it wisely. Time well spent is time spent with God in prayer. Talking to God is like talking to your best friend; and He is that and more. Spend some time with Him today and pour your heart out to Him. It is the very best thing we all can do at the start of the day, and at the end of the day to start the next day fresh. See you later.
