Vapor In the Wind

What is our life? We are a mist, a vapor in the wind that appears for a short time and then vanishes as the days pass.

We are not our own, but we live because His Spirit lives in us. Where would we be if it were not for His Spirit? Living and unliving stones are we, but still a vapor and a mist in the wind.

Molecules walking, living temples, living sacrifices, not knowing if tomorrow we’ll be here.

Living stones facing destruction from the elements, and the enemy who comes to steal, kill, destroy, and devour.

Dead stones without the Spirit walking alone in darkness even though light shines from the sun and the Son of the Highest God!

What is our life? What does it consist of? What is the meaning of it? Why do we even exist if we are just going to die, be remembered no more, like a vapor in the wind, a mist on a leaf, as the dew on the ground?

Living seeds to one day be planted never to grow again. Life is a beautiful thing, but it will come to an end; nothing lasts forever, not even a flower that gives off a sweet fragrance. Just as a blade of grass is here one minute and cut down the next, and so are we.

So, what is your life? What is our life? How does God see our life? He sees it as a vapor in the wind.

Before Him, we are but dust and ashes. Have we just really thought about that?

This is why it is said,” Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, and dust to dust.” We go back into what we were created from. So, what is our life? It’s not ours, we are not ours. We are not our own!

We are His and His alone, because our life is intertwined with His. He gives it and takes it away, and there is nothing that can be done about it.

We are only vapors in the wind. ©2022

Absolutely breathtaking.

The Thief In Paradise

When Jesus was hanging on the cross, one dying thief demonstrated how someone can be on the brink of death and still call Christ Lord. No matter where you are in life, there’s always time to recognize Jesus’ lordship in your own life. Read the below notes from the MacArthur Bible Commentary. Luke 23:32, 39-43 “Two others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him.” “One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying ‘Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!’ But the other rebuked him, saying, ‘Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.’ And he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ And he said to him, ‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.’” Verse-by-Verse Notes 23:32 | two others, criminals. This word denotes a rebel and brigand who plunders as he steals. These were probably cohorts of Barabbas in the rebellion, since robbery itself was not a capital offense under Roman law. 23:39 | one of the criminals. Matthew 27:44 and Mark 15:32 report that both criminals were mocking Christ along with the crowd. As the hours wore on, however, this criminal’s conscience was smitten, and he repented. When the impenitent thief resumed his mocking (v. 39), this thief rebuked him and refused to participate again. 23:41 | this Man has done nothing wrong. Even the thief testified of Jesus’ innocence. 23:42 | Lord, remember me. The penitent thief ’s prayer reflected his belief that the soul lives on after death, that Christ had a right to rule over a kingdom of the souls of men, and that He would soon enter that kingdom despite His impending death. His request to be remembered was a plea for mercy, which also reveals that the thief understood he had no hope but divine grace, and that the dispensing of that grace lay in Jesus’ power. All of this demonstrates true faith on the part of the dying thief, and Christ graciously affirmed the man’s salvation (v. 43). Key Word: Paradise 23:43 | Paradise—lit. “garden” or “park.” The Septuagint uses this word literally in Ecclesiastes 2:5 and Song of Solomon 4:13, although the term also refers to the Garden of Eden (see Gen. 2:8). Later, Paradise was described as the place of the righteous dead in Sheol (Luke 16:19–31). When Jesus spoke to the thief on the cross, He assured him that he would that day reside with Him in Paradise (23:42). This seems to indicate that this word refers to a pleasant place for the righteous among the dead. Revelation 2:7 speaks of Paradise as the restitution of an Edenic paradise, an everlasting home for believers (cf. Gen. 2 and Rev. 22). Keep Reading! Verse for Today: Matthew 6:34

Jesus is my Sunshine.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:34 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.6.34.KJV

V.8-“And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?”

Isaiah 53:5- “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Hosea 6:1- “Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.”

Hosea 14:4- “I will heal their backsliding; I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.”

Now, I want to look at the following Scriptures on healing. Let us see what our father has to say to us on this important subject.

Healing:

Jeremiah 14:19- “Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!”

Jeremiah 30:13- “There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.”

Nahum 3:19- “There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?”

Malachi 4:2- “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.”

Matthew 4:23- “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”

Luke 9:11- “And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.”

Luke 9:6- “And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.”

1 Corinthians 12:9- “To another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the same Spirit;”

1Corinthians 28:30- “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and redemption:”

Revelation 22:2- “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the tree of life, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

Acts 4:22- “for the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.”

Acts 10:38- “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

In all of these Scriptures, God is being straight forward and direct. He is not beating around the bush with His words. I know that sometimes when people are straight forward and direct, we sometimes are offended by it, it’s not that they are being rude or disrespectful, it is that they are telling it like it is without any filters to cover anything up. We are either going to accept what’s said, or we are going to ignore it. When God is telling us something it is for our own good, not to harm or hurt us. It may not always be what we want to hear, but it is what it is. This next set of Scriptures is on health. Let’s see what God has to tell us about this very important subject.

Health:

2 Samuel 20:9- “And Joab said to Amasa, Art thou in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right hand to kiss him.”

Psalm 42:11- “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

Psalm 43:5- “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

Psalm 67:2- “That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

Proverbs 3:8- “It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.”

Proverbs 4:22- “For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

Proverbs 16:24- “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.”

Isaiah 58:8- “Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward,”

Jeremiah 8:15- “We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!”

Jeremiah 8:22- “Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?”

Jeremiah 30:17- “For I will restore health unto thee, and will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.”

3 John 2-” Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Genesis 43:28- “And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed their heads, and made obeisance.

Acts 27:34- “Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.”

Now, this is the end of these Scriptures for now on these topics that are important in God’s Word for us. There are many more verses that can be looked up and explored. It has taken me some time to look up every Scripture and verse for each one. Normally I just write, but I wanted to do something that I haven’t did in a very long time. There will be more Scripture like this, but on many different topics that God put on my heart to share. I hope and pray that He will continue to give me the strength in my hands and fingers to be able to write, because my hands swell sometimes. I hope you enjoy the Scriptures, and look back at them from time to time.

If you haven’t talked to Jesus today, He is waiting to hear from you. He is waiting to hear everything that you have on your heart that is weighing you down. He is ready to change your life for the better, and give you a new life in Him. He is ready to show you just how much He loves you. He is ready to bless you like you have never been blessed before. Just trust Him. It will be the best decision you will ever make in your whole life. With that being said, God bless you and keep you, and may He give you peace.
