But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Peter 5:10 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1pe.5.10.KJV
Growing up we have always been around trees but we didn’t exactly know the names of them, or what kind of fruit grew from them. We have made swings from their branches, climbed them, turned them into tree houses, and the birds and other creatures have made them their homes, but we never think about this: They All Started Out As Saplings just like us. Everything starts out as a seed being planted in fertile soil.
We know that that’s the beginning of life; it’s where roots take place. When we look at the trees around us, we know that they have been around for a very long time by the height of it, or by counting the annual rings on the stump if it has been cut down.

Trees are very resourceful. We use them to build furniture, houses, decks, to make pencils and paper, toys, and lots of other things that we use everyday. Fruit trees produce the fruit that’s ingrafted in their DNA. Peach trees produces peaches.

Pear trees produce pears. There are so many different varieties of pears. I remember the pear tree that was in my grandparents front yard. They grew so big, round, and full of juice. They were so good.

Plum trees were plentiful in the country where I grew up. We had one on on our bank outside of our fence. They were so sweet, especially the yellow ones. The green ones were sour and good, the red ones were tart and sweet. My grandma made jellies and jams out of them. This memory takes me back to my childhood days of Summer fun. I never had to want for fruits, they were plentiful. See, growing up in the country with everything around me was a blessing. It taught me how to stay humble and to appreciate the things that I had. I am still that way.

Persimmons are fruits that grows on a tree. They are orange with black seeds, and no bigger than a nickel. They are sweet and juicy. There were a tree in my yard where I lived in 2014. When they were green I didn’t recognize them. I picked one and placed it in the sun to see what color it would turn, and low and behold it turned orange. I had fruit for years. I was so happy. I wish I could have taken the tree with me when we moved, but it was rooted and grounded in the earth.

Getting to know the trees around me was fun. I learned about different types of trees that were in my yard, and I am still learning about the trees that’s around me now. There is a big Pecan tree right beside my house in my back yard, but it doesn’t produce good pecans; they’re wormy and small. It is good for shade and a home for the little bird families, squirrels, and raccoons. Sometimes I may see a little green lizard playing on a low branch.

What kind of trees do you have living around you in your yard, or just in the neighborhood where you live? Trees are beautiful. I love looking at them wondering about all of the things they have withstood for many years. I especially love seeing their leaves change in Autumn before Fall comes and blow them away. I believe that every tree has a special story to tell, but we just have to stop and take a good look at it to find the story in it.
I am thankful to have trees around me to enjoy, and to feel the breeze they share when they wave their branches. I am thankful for the shade they provide to sit underneath on a warm day to stay cool. How are you thankful for the trees and what they provide?
Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section. As always, stay safe, stay blessed, and thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

I think this is a good question we all have asked ourselves at some point after COVID-19 entered the United States when all of the churches were shut down. I never thought that a church would be shut down because of anything. I always thought that the church would always be open when devastation arose like it has for these past two years. It has really been hard trying to worship without a church to attend at the time. Now churches have opened back up in some places, but where I am from, the church where I grew up attending, still have not opened back up yet, I guess when the time is right, God will let it reopen again.
The good thing about worshiping is that we can have church outside, at home, on zoom, on line, and through podcasting. We can worship God anywhere. The church is just a building where we all go and gather to worship God together, but because His Spirit lives in us, we can praise God anytime we want to.
Back in the Bible days, they worshiped in the temple, and they worshiped in the wilderness in the tent when they were delivered from Egypt, and God was with them. Just as God was with them, He is with us wherever we are. We can worship by singing songs to God, praying, reading the Word, and spending time meditating on God’s Word. So, whether we are inside a building at church, or at home, or in the wilderness, we can worship wherever we are.
If you have not talked to Jesus today, He is waiting to hear from you. Pour your heart out to Him. He is ready to hear all that you have to say. He is ready to give you a new life in Him. Turning to Jesus will be the best decision you will ever make in your life for your eternal life.
Where do you want to spend eternity? Choose this day who you will serve while the blood is running warm in your veins. because as for me and my house we will serve the LORD. Amen. ©2022

We go through life asking questions about things that we want to know about, but we never get the real answers we want. We read many books and search the internet for answers about things and we still come up short. There are times when we may feel like we are in the valley and we wonder how we got there. We say to ourselves, “What is the meaning of all of this?” Why am I here? Where do we get the answer to that question? What do we do?
Do you ever feel like you are in the garden alone? What I mean by saying this is that, do you ever feel like you are in agony at some point in your life? Do you ever feel like there’s no way to escape from the agony you are facing? Do you ever feel like you cannot trust anyone to be there for you when you really need someone to watch out for you, to have your back, to pray with you when you need spiritual support? Where are those who call themselves your true friends? It is funny how when you are going through something, your friends are rarely ever there. When everything is going right, they are always around.
This takes me back to when Jesus went to the garden to pray, and the disciples went with Him. They sat a piece of the way off so Jesus could pray. He told them to keep watch, but what did they do, they fell asleep. Jesus prayed, went back and found them sleeping. Even though they were there with Jesus, it was like they were not there, it was as if He was there in the garden alone, but He wasn’t. There was an angel there with Him to give Him strength to pray to God about what was about to happen to Him.
Do we ever think about that what Jesus went through that night in the Garden of Gethsemane? Can we even imagine the agony He felt while knowing what was about to take place? He was betrayed by Judas, denied three times by Peter, and doubted by Thomas after He had risen. Jesus knew all of this in the very beginning before He even called the twelve disciples.
Are our friends and family always there for us, the answer is no. Do they come every time we call, the answer is no. It hurts, but we get over it. It hurt Peter when he denied Jesus, it hurt Judas after he realized what he done, and Thomas believed after he saw Jesus in the room with them. Jesus is the only real friend we all have. He said that He would never leave us nor forsake us, and He said He would be with us even until the end of the age. When Jesus is with us, we are never in the valley, or the garden alone.
What are you struggling with that only God can fix today? Whatever it is, put it in His hands and let Him take care of it. We can rest knowing that God is in control of everything, we can trust Him with everything that we are going through. Just remember that He loves all of us. When we start to feel like no one loves us, He does, and His love will never change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen to the glory of God, and Jesus our King who is coming back again someday.
If you have not talked to Jesus today, He is waiting to hear from you. He is ready to give you a new life in Him so you can spend eternity with Him. You do not have to be afraid to go to Jesus in prayer. His ears are always open to hear what we have to say. He is ready to hear our hearts cry. Scripture Reading: John 3:16-17-For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (v.17.) For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (KJV) ©2022

Oftentimes, we go through things that we just do not understand. We forget that we have a problem solver who can help us with everything in our life. We forget that we have sixty-six books to turn to when we need help with the circumstances, we are facing every day. We wonder around aimlessly trying to figure out things on our own, but still cannot make ourselves do what we know is right. We think that we know it all when in all reality we do not. We often let pride get the best of us, those of us who know what pride is, but as for me, I have never been prideful, and I hope I never do.
I often wonder what it would be like if we did not have the Word of God to go to use to help us fight our battles. I often wonder would we even know how to pray. When we are facing difficulties, that is the time we should use the Word to gain understanding, knowledge, and wisdom to trust in God, and to know that we are not alone in anything that we face in our life. We will win with the Word, but we have to open it up and use it. We have to speak it out loud to fight the adversary, which is the Devil, who comes to steal, kill, and to destroy.
We must always remember that he does not have any power over the Word of God, or us who are the children of God. He is already defeated! We WIN! I am so glad we have a King who has never lost a battle. He will always reign victorious. We have victory in Jesus! He is our King forevermore. He knows everything we will ever have to go through. He knows that we are going to need Him to help us fight our battles. The Word of God has power, we just have to speak it. We will always win with the Word! I thank God for HIS Word of life! I can’t live without it, can you? Can you live every day without God’s living Word? I mean live spiritually. It is HIS Spirit that keeps us alive. When we are weak, He is strong within us, so, therefore we are strong.
There’s nothing that He doesn’t already know about us. He knows our every thought, when we get up, when we go to sleep, when we eat, an even when we don’t think about Him. There is nothing that can be hid from Him. He hears our every thought before we even think it, before we even speak a word, He knows what we are going to say. He knows how we are going to feel about something before it even reaches our brain. God’s Word are winning words of wisdom.
If you have not talked to Jesus today, He is waiting to hear from you. He is just a prayer away. Pour your heart out to Him today and let Him carry your burdens. Let Him cleanse you from the inside out. He is ready to give you a new life in Him. It will be the best decision you will ever make for your life, and for your eternal life. Just know that He loves you more than anything in the world. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will always be here to carry you through whatever you are going through in your life. Let Him work everything out as only He can. God bless you, stay safe, and thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul. c.2022

Let’s talk about life. We live from day to day not knowing what the next day will bring. We often take from tomorrow by saying what we are going to do when tomorrow comes, but who’s to say that we will be here when tomorrow comes, only God knows that, so let us not say what we will do on tomorrow. We should say if the LORD says the same, we will do this or that.
When we were growing up, some of us went to church, and we would hear the preacher talk about heaven and hell, God and the Devil, and our spirit and where we will reside depending on the kind of life we lived here on the earth. It has always been a war going on against good and evil that we do not have any control of; it has been going on since the world began and God created Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.
When we think about it, the Garden of Eden is where sin began. It is where all of the blame started, and it is where the first eviction took place on earth. So, when we look back over time and history, we can see that we were born in a sinful world with sinful tendencies already within us.
Now that we are old enough to understand what sin is and what the dangers of it is, we should want to stay away from it. In order for that to happen, we must repent of our sins and turn to Jesus. He is the only way to the Father and eternal life. He is our sure foundation that our faith is built upon. He forgave us of our sins while He was upon the cross before He said it is finished, and everything took place just as He said it would, but there are still those who are skeptics, and unbelievers.
Do we ever think about where we want to spend eternity? Would we be ready to go if Jesus returned tomorrow? Well, we would not have any say in the matter whether we are ready or not. This is why we must make sure we repent of our sins. It can be a bad thought, saying a curse word, doing bad things, having bad thoughts, and actions that are displeasing to God. We sin every day and we don’t even realize it because old habits are hard to break. This is why we must ask the Father in the name of Jesus for forgiveness, and we must learn to forgive others as well if we want to be forgiven.
Where our spirit resides is totally up to us. We are the ones who are living in these bodies. Our spirit goes to God, and our body returns to the dust from which it was created from. We do not have any say in the matter, we did not create ourselves. I know and you know that God knows that we are imperfect people, we are mortal human beings. We do not know everything about everything, this is why God gave us His Word to learn from, to get wisdom so we can learn to be wise and turn to Him when we do not know what to do, or when we do not understand something, how else will we really get to know Him and what we should do and not do. We should never be afraid to open the Bible and read it. We should never be afraid to go to God about anything, even the smallest little thing.
Think about your eternal life, it is important just as our life here on this earth is. Think about where you want your spirit to reside forever. I have enjoyed sharing this thought-provoking message with you all today. I share what is laid on my heart that God feels needs to be shared. Jesus loves all of us, and God does not want any of His children to perish in a devil’s hell. Jesus wants us to be where He is, and that is in heaven with Him and the Father for all eternity. May God bless you and keep you safe. Thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul. Later, this message will be recorded, so you will be able to listen to it wherever you may listen to your podcasts. Have a wonderful day.
When we are born into this world, we do not know one day from the next, we do not even know we are in the world. It takes months and years to know that as we grow. Before we know it, we are learning to walk, talk, and realize we are in the world. We began to learn right from wrong, and in the process of it all, our feelings about things starts to develop. We began to know what we do and don’t like about things and people. We are taken care of by those who loves us when we are growing up. They do the best that they can with the resources they have, and they work to pay bills, and to keep us fed, and so we can have clothes on our backs. They put us through school in order for us to get a good education to have a good future. It doesn’t always work out that way though. Along the way of life, things happen that causes us to change how we see things, and feel about things concerning life.
As we travel on in our life, we fall in love, get married, and start a family, but it doesn’t always work out that way either. Sometimes things prevent that from happening. It could be that a person isn’t ready to make that kind of commitment early in their life. It could be that a person just cannot see themselves being tied down, they could be a free spirit. Whatever the case maybe we all have our reasons for what we do or don’t do in our life.
As we grow older and our bodies start to feel how old we are, we often began to slow down, or speed up given how we have taken care of ourselves. We began to think about our life and all of the things we did and didn’t do when we had the chance to do them. We may or may not have regrets, but all in all we can say that we had a not so bad life. We can be proud of all of our accomplishments, and the mistakes that we had to learn from along the way.
When age sets in, and we are no longer young, we will then be old. We all will be old one day if we live long enough. Life is what you make it, because in the end of it all there is no turning back, just moving forward to a better place than this.
Death is sad, but it is also funny, because it makes you think about the kind of life you are living, it makes you want to forgive those who have wronged you and love them anyway. It is as if whatever happened in the past in one’s life doesn’t matter anymore. It gives you a new way to look at life and how precious itis because we only get one. We can enjoy our golden years just as we are enjoying our young years now.
Live life to the fullest and enjoy it along the way. c.2022

When I think about roads, I think about how they were centuries ago. They were muddy, gravel roads, blacktop roads, and then there were roads made of pavement and asphalt, tar and steel. Roads were at one time just flat, now there are freeways everywhere, we never know what we might see on the freeway. We all travel on roads whether we are walking, or driving, riding a bike, or some other mode of transportation. Back in the Bible days, there were not cars and such, so they rode donkeys, camels, and horses, and chariots, and walked, and traveled by boats. Things have changed since way back then.
When I was thinking about what I wanted to write about, this title came to me and I saved it in my drafts. I didn’t know when I was going to put words to it, or if I was going to write about it at all this year, but when I started thinking about it, I thought about Saul when he and those that were with him were on the road going to Damascus. I am quite sure they were not expecting anything unusual to happen along the way before they made it there.
To be honest, when we are going places, we never expect anything unusual to happen to us. We are not thinking about such things, we are just focused on getting to where we want to go, especially when we have to be at a place at a certain time, such as work, school, interview, or trying to make it to the gas station to get gas before we run out and be stranded beside the road. Traveling long distances to another city can be tiring after a while, but look at what happened on Saul’s journey to Damascus. He was converted, blinded by the bright light, fell from his donkey, and had an encounter with Jesus, all while on the road to Damascus.
CONVERSION OF PAUL THE APOSTLE
The conversion of Paul the Apostle was according to the New Testament, an event in the life of Saul/Paul the Apostle that led him to cease persecuting early Christians and to become a follower of Jesus. (Wikipedia)
Like Saul, we were once on a road to destruction before we became followers of Jesus. While we were on the wrong road, we did everything that was not pleasing in God’s sight. We did not care about our soul and where we were going to spend eternity if God had called us home at the time. Somewhere along the way, God got tired of seeing us live destructive lives that was only going to lead us straight to hell. Along the way, He sent someone to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His Son with us, and to tell us about everything Jesus went through for us so we could be saved from hell and damnation. I know it may have taken some time to understand it all, and to really believe the things we were told about His death, burial, and resurrection. It was a lot to take in, but because the Holy Spirit opened our eyes, we were able to see and know the truth, and believe the truth. We said the Sinners prayer, and believed that Jesus was God’s Son, and asked Him to come into our heart to be our LORD and Saviour forever.
As we travel along the road of life, there will be some roadblocks that we will have to get around, some mountains we will have to climb, and some giants that we will have to fight along the way, but the good thing about it is that we will never have to fight our battles alone. Roads go in all directions, but the question is this: Which Road will you choose to take on your journey to enlightenment?
If you have not talked to Jesus today, or if you have never spoken to Him at all, He is waiting to hear from you. He is ready to hear all that you have to say; pour your heart out to Him and let Him take your sorrows and fears away. Let Him give you a new life in Him. It will be the very best decision you will ever make in your life for your eternal life. All praise be to God and our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ, who was and is and is to come, Amen. Thank you for following me on my journey with Food for the Soul. ©2022

I have always wanted to know what a Mystic is. I decided to look up the word to see what it means. I don’t quite know why I have always wondered, but I have, so here is what it means.
A mystic is a person who seeks by contemplation and self-surrender to obtain unity with or absorption into the Deity or the absolute, or who believes in the spiritual apprehension of truths that we are beyond the intellect.
Now that I know what a mystic is, my curiosity has been sufficed.
Now, I want to talk about life. What do we think about life? Do we think it is good knowing that one day it will be taken from us? The thought of it terrifies me. Just the thought of not being able to breathe, move, talk, walk, sing, shout, and have fun bothers me. I don’t know if it should or shouldn’t, but when I think about it, it’s the thought of not being remembered for the good things in one’s life. I know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD, and in His presence, there’s fullness of joy.
I suppose if we have a good time now, we do all of the things we want to do, and in the end, there will not be any regrets. You may be wondering why I am talking like this. This is something that comes across my mind every once in a while; it has been this way since I was a kid. I didn’t understand it then, and I most certainly don’t understand it now. Maybe it is because eternity was put in our hearts before we were born. Sometimes I think about how it is going to be in heaven with people I have never met in my life. Just thinking about that gives me a visual of people getting to know one another. Do you ever think about that?
Well, now that I have taken care of that thought, I want to talk about marriage. Marriage is a union between two people who vow to spend the rest of their lives with one another because they feel that they can’t live without one another. Sometimes it will work out that way, but sometimes it doesn’t. Love has a part in all of it. It is a crazy thing how one minute two people can be so in love, and the next minute they can’t stand one another. It shouldn’t be that way, but things happen unawares. Love can be blind. It can make you overlook things that you should see about a person. It can make you do crazy things, like dye your hair an outrageous color because the other likes it. But through it all, if you want it to, love will prevail. What do you think about love and marriage?
These are just random thoughts that are popping up in my mind. I just want to talk. I know I am just rambling, but I have nothing else to do, and I am bored. Sitting here watching reruns of the Jeffersons, thinking about how I used to watch it with my mother and grandfather. Those were the days. Do you ever just sit and think about the days when you were a kid and didn’t have a care in the world? Those were the times when everything was simple in the world, and time went by slowly. running and playing is all we had to do on the weekends, but Monday morning came quick. It was as if Summer was never going to come, and it was as if it would take Springbreak forever to come. What are some of your memories of those times being a kid? Well, I guess I must go now. I have some studying to do. Until next time, see ya. have a great weekend.

Growing up, children have to be taught where blessings come from. They know that parents give them what they want when they can, and if they can. Children have to be taught to be thankful for what they have, and appreciate each other. They have to be taught about the LORD. We have to let them know how much Jesus loves them, and how He will always be with them when we can’t be with them. I remember when I taught my children about Jesus, they were so happy that they had someone who would never leave them nor forsake them. They always talked about becoming missionaries and telling others about Jesus. That made my heart so happy. When they were older, they kind of fell away. I did everything I could to help them remember what I had taught them, and what they had learned at church. I guess they were not ready to follow Him yet. I suppose they didn’t really understand about commitment at such a young age. I can say that they love Jesus. Just hearing them talk about Him made my heart so happy, and it still does to this very day. When they grew up, they began to understand what it meant to follow Jesus. They wanted to know more about Him, so that is when I began really teaching Bible study every day. After the years went by, they really appreciated the time we spent together talking and reading the Bible together. Now that they have their own lives, they know what it is to really trust and have faith in Jesus.
The years and time came and went so fast. I often wonder what it is going to be like next year this time for my children. I hope they will remember what they were taught and share it with others. All we can do is hope for the best when we are raising them. It is hard to let them go when that time arrives. I always have taught my children to respect themselves and others, and to be kind to everyone. Who will you share the Word of God with today? Who will you show His love to? Who will you encourage today? Just remember that when you feel that no one loves you, Jesus does. He always will.
If you have not talked to Jesus today, take some time out and talk to Him. Tell Him everything that’s on your heart. He is ready to listen to it all. With that being said, God bless, stay safe, and thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

Put in the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The whole armour is the Word of God. Part of our armour is prayer, faith, and trust in God and His Word. When we pray, God gives us strength to make it through whatever we are going through on a daily basis. When the enemy see us praying, it frightens him, because he knows that God is going to fight our battles for us, and he knows that he does not stand a chance coming towards us. This is why we must stay in prayer no matter whether we are happy or sad. The enemy will do anything to kill our joy that God has given to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. He will do everything he can to make us think about our past, and to blame God for all of the bad things that happens in our life. Sometimes things will happen for no apparent reason. We do not know why things happen; they just do. But just know that when things like that happens, we are not going through the hurt of it alone. We are not suffering alone, we are not crying alone, and when we feel like we cannot go on, He is there to give us strength to carry on until we have made it through the things that we are going through. The blood of Jesus is our covering from the enemy, His blood heals us from head to toe, and the love He has for us will never end, it endures forever. He is our strength when we are weak. He is our shelter from the storm, He is our way maker. He is our everything.

EPHESIANS 6:11-13 (KJV)
v.11-Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
v.12- For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
v.13-Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Standing on the Word of God is our protection against the enemy. No matter what, we can trust God. When our faith becomes weak, we must ask God to strengthen our faith so we will not waiver in trusting Him, so we will not give up on our faith, or give up on ourselves. Life isn’t easy, there will always be something to test our faith in God. When that happens, that is where we pray even harder.
That is when we pour out everything from our heart to God and let Him fight our battles for us. We are never alone. He is always with us; even when we don’t feel His presence, He is there. He knows everything that we will ever go through in our life. He knows our ups and downs, and every tear we shed. He knows when our heart will be broken, our many disappointments. He knows that we cannot do anything on our own. He knows that we need Him every day we live, and even when we go home to be with Him, He will be there to lead and guide us all of the way.
I want you to know that Jesus loves you very much. He is ready to give you a new life in Him. Do not wait until it is too late. Life is too short to wait. With the way things are going on in the world now, Jesus could come back at any time, but the question is this: Will you be ready? Will you be ready to say goodbye to this world? It is your choice where you spend eternity. Choose eternal life.
This is what John had to say in John 3:16-18-For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV)
So, with that being said, the choice is yours to make. It doesn’t matter what you have done, where you are from, or the color of your skin; God created all of us, and He doesn’t want any of His children to perish. I know that things look dark right now in the world, but Jesus is the light in all of this darkness. Let Him break through that darkness in your life so that you to may walk in the light of His love.
As always, thank you for joining me on this journey with Food for the Soul. Merry Christmas everyone! Jesus loves you.

The Holy Family.
Everyone who has ever lived on this earth has made some kind of mistake in their life. The mistakes we make are not intentional, they just happen from time to time. We look at ourselves as failures when we fail at something, and we wallow in self-pity and mope around feeling sorry for ourselves thinking that all is lost, when all we have to do is get up and start over again. We become self-absorbed within ourselves and do not think about others who may be going through the same things as we are. We have to understand that we are not the only people in the world who goes through changes. We are not the only people in the world who suffer because of something we go through every once in a while. We are not the only people in the world who loses someone they love very much. We have to consider what others are going through as well.
Well, let me tell you this. There is someone who lives in the world who comes to kill, steal, and to destroy. They bring up our past faults, our past mistakes, our past failures, and places doubt in our minds so we will lose our faith in the One who lives inside of us. He does not want anyone to succeed in anything they try to do, He makes them feel like they cannot do anything, and that their life is meaningless. So many people in the world have taken their lives because of the things the enemy told them, and because of how He made them feel.
See, He brings up the past in our lives and the mistakes we have made and causes us to feel guilty. He makes us feel as we have not been forgiven for those things, but what we have to remember is that we are forgiven of those things. When God forgives us, we are forgiven and there’s nothing that can change it. We have to know that God does not want us to live in the past. He does not want us to dwell on things that will bring us down. He only wants us to think about those things that are good and praiseworthy. When we think about the good things in our life, and all of the accomplishments we have made, it makes life worth living. It makes us want to do more to feel better about ourselves. It makes our heart happy, and keeps us feeling young.
We have to learn how to resist the devil, which is the enemy so he will flee. We have to learn to draw near to God so He will draw near to us that He may give us the desires of our heart. There’s nothing good about the enemy, but there is everything good about God.
When we think about it, life is never going to perfect. We are always going to make mistakes, and have failures. The good thing about it is that we have the opportunity to move on from it, and we are not defined by the mistakes we make, and we are not our past, nor are we defined by it. We are who we are, and we will always be who we are flaws and all. So, therefore we must accept ourselves, and see ourselves as God see us. We cannot keep knocking on ourselves and putting ourselves down. We are all special and unique in our own way just the way God made us. Life is a gift, and we cannot let the enemy make us think otherwise. Well, I have enjoyed sharing this article with you all. Stay safe, God bless, and thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul. c.2022.

“Our understanding is not like God’s understanding, so we must always seek Him to give us the understanding we need on a daily basis.”
Shaunelius L. Sterns
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)
Everyday life happens when we awake from our sleep, but the thing is this, we do not know what is going to happen in that day. Sometimes we are faced with circumstances that we do not understand, nor do we know how we are going to get through those circumstances that we face. We go to our friends trying to get their opinions about things, we go to the internet to get answers to our problems, and we turn to books that still cannot answer our questions to our problems that we face.
When we are faced with uncertainties, we worry about it, we think about it, and we try to drown it out with things that we feel can wash it away, but what we forget is this, we forget all about the One who has the answers to all of our problems and circumstances that we will ever have to face in our life. We forget about the One who created us and who knows all about us, and everything that will ever happen in our life. We forget about the fact that all we have to do is open the Word of God and read it to gain understanding to the things we are facing. Everything we will ever need to know is in the Word of God, we just have to look for it, and ask God to show us what we should do. He will quiet our mind so we can hear His voice as He talks to us through His Word. We may not be able to solve our own problems by ourselves, but He will make a way for us to get through it with peace in our heart. Some things are not for us to understand, but He understands everything. When we turn to Jesus, no matter what we are going through, He will comfort our hearts, dry our tears, and lead us down the right path of life that has already been placed before us since before we were born. Along that path, we will have things to endure, we will have hard times, we will have moments of doubt, we will have times when we just do not want to continue down that path that is set before us, but He is there to walk along that path with us, we are never alone in anything we are faced with here in this life.
When we get tired of trying to figure things out on our own, we can stand and lean on the Word of God. There is no reason for us to worry about anything, because He tells us not to worry about anything. When we seek God, He will give us everything we need. He may not give us everything we ask for because He knows what is good for us, and some of the things we ask for may not be good for us. He knows best. He created us. We are to trust Him and have faith in Him, not in ourselves, because we do not always know what is best for us.
If you have not talked to Jesus today, go to Him in prayer and pour out your heart to Him. Tell Him everything that you are feeling. He already knows your heart and what is in your heart, but He wants you to still come and give it to Him so He can take away all of the hurt and pain that you are feeling in your heart and soul. He wants to give you a new life in Him. Just know that He loves you more than anything, and there is nothing that you can do to keep Him from loving you. It does not matter what you have done in your life. It does not matter where you have been, or where you are coming from, just know that He is waiting with his arms stretched out wide to receive you back into the family of God. Think about your eternal life and where you want to spend it, and who you want to spend it with. Jesus came that we may have life, and life more abundantly. What is it that you need Jesus to do for you today? What is it that you need Him to fix in your life? Who have you been praying for to come back to Jesus? I am here to tell you that He knows your every need before you can even ask of think it. He knows what is on your heart before you even let it come out of your mouth. He knows what you are feeling right this very moment, so there is no reason for you to try to hide anything from Him. Go to Him and lay it all at His feet and leave it there. Put it all in His hands and let Him fix whatever is broken in your life. I am a living witness at to what He can do when you have faith and trust in Him and not doubt Him. Having faith moves mountains because He is a mountain mover. Whatever you need in your life, go to Jesus and let Him work it out for you. He is waiting for you today. Do not harden your heart towards the one who loves you more than anyone ever could in this world.
John 3:16-17-For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. (KJV)
Romans 10:17-18-So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. (KJV)
Turn to Jesus today, it will be the best decision you will ever make in your life for your eternal life.
As always, thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul. God bless.

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Isaiah 55:1-2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.55.1-2.KJV
When we go to God, we do not have to pay a cent to talk to Him. We do not have to buy a time slot to spend time with Him. We are not worried about commercials interrupting our time we spend with Him. When we goto the Word of God, our spirit is fed on the free gift of life that Jesus has already paid for. We are able to hear His voice speaking to us bringing joy to our souls.
We do not have to buy wine to give us joy and laughter, and a merry heart, this is why we have the Holy Spirit. I would rather be drunk in the Holy Spirit than to be drunk on wine. The Holy Spirit brings us joy and a merry heart, as to where wine and strong drink clouds your thinking which makes a person do crazy things.
Milk is good for those who are new to the Word of God, because we are new in Christ. We learn the basics and along the way we grow in Christ. While we are growing, learning, and being taught, we are learning about who we are, who we belong to, and the benefits we have in Christ who died for us. As we learn and are weaned from the milk to something to chew on, which is the stronger meanings of the Word, we cut our teeth. We learn more so we will know more than we did in the beginning when we first started out being children of God.
As we get older, we should be able to teach the Word of God, but in order to do that, we must understand what the Word is saying to us. In order to do that, we must ask God to help us understand what He is saying so we can be able to teach others. We have to remember what Proverbs 3:5-6 says. You are more than welcome to go there in your Bibles and read that verse. God is always ready to teach us something that we do not understand. He will direct us and tell us what we need to do to teach His Word. How can we teach if we do not understand what we are teaching? There are times when the teacher has to be retaught of God in order to have a clear understanding of the Word of God. It doesn’t matter how old or young a person is, but they have to know the Word of God. It is a lot to learn. We have our Bibles to go to when we forget something. That’s alright, God wants us to use our Bibles when we are teaching.
Some never learn the Word of God to teach it and share it with others, they keep it to themselves, and that is what God doesn’t want. He doesn’t want us to keep it to ourselves, He wants us to share His Word to all people until Jesus returns. He wants us to share the love of Jesus Christ, His Son, with others by being there for them however we can. We can do that by praying for someone, taking someone something to eat, buying a homeless person something to eat and to drink, giving someone a place to sleep, giving someone clothes and shoes who doesn’t have any, being a listening ear, or a shoulder to cry on. There are billions of ways to share the love of Jesus Christ. When we do that, we have done it to Jesus. We never know who may have to be there for us one day. Life is too short to not want to help someone if you can. Just remember what Jesus did for all of us. He helped us in such a way that will last a lifetime throughout all eternity.
I don’t know about how you feel about the Word of God, but to me it is why I am still alive today. God’s Word is life. It is not just random words that someone wrote for entertainment. It is His voice written in 66 books leading us to life everlasting.
I want everyone to know that no matter what you are facing in your life, no matter what you are going through, God is there to carry you through. Jesus loves you today and everyday. His love never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Let His love shine in our hearts today, and share His love with someone who needs it. Talk to Him today. He is waiting and wanting to hear from you today. Until next time, God bless us all, and stay safe.©2022.

Often we get ideas on the spur of the moment, but do we take them to heart? Do we pay attention to those ideas? We have to strike while the iron is hot. We can’t let our ideas get cold because if we do, they will be sitting on the back burner simmering never coming to a boil.
I know there are distractions that keeps us from focusing on what we want to do, but we have to push through those distractions to stay focused on the ideas we want to see come to reality.

It takes hard work to create things you want to see from your ideas. It may take months or even years before it becomes a reality, to see your idea in your hands, to take pictures of it, but as long it takes when it’s finished it will bring you so much joy.
There are times when we may feel like our ideas may be foolish, but no idea is foolish, what is foolish is not considering the idea, you may never know how good it may have turned out if you don’t try to make it happen.
The idea could be about something you may have wanted to do a long time ago but never had the chance to get to it. It could have been an Idea you had as a kid and forgot all about it. It could have been something you saw and wanted to elaborate on it a little. It could have been a dream you had that you wanted to see come true, but you never acted on it, you put it on the back burner and left it there to simmer and steep out.
We have to realize where our ideas come from, they come from God because He gave them to us before we were born, and He planted them in our hearts. Whenever we get an idea, we need to thank God for it. The ideas He gives us are connected to our blessings to bring Him glory for the Kingdom of God. We are creative thinkers…creative human beings. When we think about it and realize it, God is creative as well. He created everything just by speaking. He didn’t wait, or procrastinate when He created everything. He struck while the iron was hot. He spoke with power and authority, He called it what it was supposed to be and it still is.
We have to speak to our dreams just as our ideas if we want to see them in reality. When God said LET THERE BE, it was. We must have that same faith to speak to everything in our lives that we want to see happen that is good and righteous in God’s eyes.

Don’t let your ideas fade. Strike while the iron is hot. You never know what you can do until you try. I have learned how to do so much just by trying to do new things. Whenever I get an idea, I jump on it, I do not wait until later. I know it is why I am always up being creative because I get new ideas in the early morning before the sun comes up. It has always been like this for me. Until next time, do not ignore your thoughts because your thoughts can turn out to be good ideas that are pleasing to God. As always, thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul. God bless all of your endeavors.
We are human beings and we have all made bad choices that will follow us for the rest of our lives. No matter what we do we can’t get away from it. We are always reminded of our past when situations come about, but what can we do to get past it? How do we deal with past failures?
There are support groups where people talk about their past failures when they can’t get over them. Some people turn to drugs and alcohol to console themselves. When that happens, everything becomes a downward spiral. Sometimes people will come back from that when they hit rock bottom because they have done all that they can do physically, but they find the strength within themselves to find a purpose to keep going to get themselves together.
We deal with past failures by leaving them where they are. There isn’t any need to bring the past into the present. Yes, we may talk about past mistakes we made and bad choices we made, but we do not have to let our past predict how our present will be, or our future.
Dealing with past failures is like ripping a scab from an injury that has been healed. You know it’s there but you can’t stop picking with it. When that happens it becomes a bigger problem than what it was at first. It has to heal all over again. What I am saying is this, “Leave things that have healed alone”. Don’t keep living those bad things over and over again it will only make you feel worse than what you did in the beginning.
We learn from those failures and mistakes and move on from them. When you move on from it you will become stronger. Your soul can began to heal. You will begin to see life in a new way through new eyes. You will start to see the glass half full instead of half empty.

You will want to stop and appreciate the beautiful things around you. Appreciate your life because you only get one. Cherish the special moments that will become memories to share for many generations to come.
With that being said, God bless you, stay safe, and as always thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.
