Verse of the Day: 1 John 2:15-16

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:15‭-‬16 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.2.15-16.KJV

This world is passing away more and more everyday. Look at what’s going on in the world today. Due to all of the virus variants that are here taking innocent lives, with the numbers going up, what is it going to be like a year or two from now?

Lust is another thing that is wreaking havoc in the world, and this has been going on since the beginning. It is a sin that has caused more trouble than a little bit. Everything that is not of God is sin. The Scripture explains all of this to us. Thank God for His Word, because without it, we would not know anything about sin, or how to live righteously before God. We would not know anything about Jesus and what He did for us. We would not know anything about salvation, or being free from sin.

What would our life consist of? How would we pray to God if we did not have the Word to learn from? We would be living by our wits. There’s so much going on in the world to not know who Jesus is. He is the only one who can end all of what’s going on in the world in every life, of every person.

I have heard people say,”I have my pride”. Will pride get you into heaven? Will pride save your soul? Will pride comfort you when you lose someone you love? Will pride stop a divorce? Will pride pay your bills? Will pride get you where you want to be in life? Will pride wipe your tears away? Will pride put food on your table, clothes on your back, shoes on your feet, and money in your pockets, or bank account, or buy that vehicle you want, or help you find that special someone to spend your life with? Will pride tell you that everything will be alright, and not to worry about anything? Will pride talk to you when your life is turning up side down? Will pride put a smile on your face? Will pride tell you to keep going when you want to give up? Will pride stop a person from taking their own life? Will pride tell someone to leave drugs alone because it can kill them? Will pride keep you away from trouble and sin? Will pride make anyone a better man or woman? Will pride make you see clearly the right things that should be done? Will pride save your life, and I mean your eternal life!?!

Pride will get you nowhere, and neither will his friend stubbornness, lack, judgemental, false accuser, despair, poverty, death, sickness, disease, plagues, and everything else that is against God!

I know I may have struck some nerves, but maybe that is what it takes to make people see the real realities of life. Don’t get caught up in pride because if you do, it will lead you to nowhere. Jesus is the way to salvation. He has already paid the ultimate price for us when He shed His blood on Calvary. That is a price we will never be able to repay; we were blood bought, and we have free salvation because of Jesus Christ, our King. Think about how He suffered for us, bled for us, died for us, and on the third day, rose again for us! He said He would be with us until the end of the age, until the world ends! Life is too short, and time is running out to be playing around with your eternal soul, and where you want to spend eternity! Wake up and open your eyes! Jesus is on His Way Back! Here’s the question: WILL YOU BE READY WHEN HE RETURNS, WILL YOU BE READY TO STAND BEFORE HIM? CHOOSE THIS DAY WHO YOU WILL SERVE, BECAUSE AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!

Do you want to continue to live in sin? Do you want to continue to rebel against God? Do you want to continue to live and walk in darkness, and if so…how deep is that darkness? Do you not want to live in the light of Jesus Christ? Do you even care about your own soul?

Tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us. We are all given one day at a time. In those twenty four hours we are given, how much of it is spent with the LORD? Do we even make time to spend with Him? He always has time for us no matter what. He never leaves us nor forsake us. He is always there to comfort us, to wipe our tears away, to pick us up when we fall, to provide for us, to make a way out of no way. When we think about all of those things, all of those blessings… doesn’t it bring tears to your eyes and humble your heart? Doesn’t it make you want to repent of your sins? Doesn’t His love and kindness mean anything to you? Doesn’t what He did for all of us matter? Yes, it does matter because He didn’t have to do it, but He did. Love did what love does. Love sacrificed His life for us, took the punishment that we deserved. He fell along the way to Calvary, but He got up every time. That is what LOVE did for us.

I am not giving an invitation today. This is something you need to work out for yourselves. This is something you really need to pray on, and think about. Do you care where you will spend eternity? The choice is yours today while it is called today. God bless you, Jesus loves you, and I do to, and there’s nothing you can do about it.©2022

It was love that kept Him there, not the nails.”
