Who Is The Holy Spirit? http://bible.com/r/15M

Jesus’ Spirit is the Holy Spirit.

Picture Verse- Mark 8:35

Looks relaxing.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. Mark 8:35 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.8.35.KJV

Prayer For Today According to the Scripture for today.

Prayer is Powerful.

God, to truly follow You means I need to surrender my whole life to You. Please help me with this. I want to place You first in my life, but sometimes I’m easily distracted by my problems, insecurities, and anxiety. Give me the strength to trust You, and the courage to surrender my whole life to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stunning!

Seeking God

So many times we go through things that we do not understand. We face trials in our life and we do not know why. We fall and we stumble through out our life, but we get back up again. We try to figure out what we need to do to get things right so we can be better, but we continue to make mistakes. We are all human beings; we will make mistakes. When we make those mistakes whatever it may be, we learn from them.

When we want to know something, we turn to the internet, social media, books, professional people, but do we ever think to turn to God and seek Him? No, we do not. We try to figure things out on our own, when we do we make a mess of things. We seem to all of a sudden forget who has all of the answers to the questions we have. He has the answers to all of our problems in our lives that we will ever have, and everything we will ever have to face.

When we seek God with all of our heart we will find Him, and in order to do that we must go to the Word. We must take out the time to do it. We are never to busy to stop and make time to spend with our Father. I spend time with Him when it is quiet; that is mostly at night, or early in the morning when I awake from sleeping. When am writing, am always talking to Him in my mind, and when am winding down to sleep, I talk to Him until I fall asleep. I talk to Him all through out the day when I am doing stuff, such as cleaning. When I am up alone, I feel more of His presence around me because there are no distractions to keep me from focusing on what He is talking to me about. He has my undivided attention. When I am studying, I always listen for His voice as I am reading a passage of Scripture.

When we go to God to seek His face, we must know that He knows just what we need before we even ask, but the thing is, He wants us to tell Him anyways. We are to have a relationship with Him. We are to have a relationship with Him because He is our Father; the One who created us. We can go to Him for everything we are going through. We can put everything in His hands and leave it there. We never have to worry about it going any further. We can trust God when we cannot trust anyone else. Read Matthew 6:33, Jesus is telling us what to do. Proverbs 3:5-6, He is telling us what to do. Everything we need to do is in the Word of God, we just have to pay attention when we are reading. It is not something we can just skim through and expect to find the answers we are looking for. When we read the Word of God, we cannot doubt it, we must believe it because it is the truth. It is God’s Living Word! It is what feeds our soul. It gives us strength to make it from day to day. When we do not feed our spirit, it becomes weak and sluggish. Our body becomes tired.

I for one am guilty for missing whole days of feeding my spirit. It is not because I do not want to, but sometimes I become distracted with other things that I am doing, and before I know it the whole day has passed. So, I try to make it my business to spend time with God when I awake in the mornings, or right after I have a cup of coffee to make sure I am fully awake.

Just remember to seek God for everything. He has all of the answers to everything. He is all knowing. If you have not talked to Jesus today, He is waiting to hear from you. Just know that He loves you very much. You do not have to be perfect to go to God, He accepts us all just the way we are. It does not matter where you have been in your life, or where you are coming from. Just go to Him. Whatever is wrong He can fix it. The blood of Jesus will wash you clean from the inside out. With that being said, God bless you, and stay safe. Thank you for following me on my journey with Food for the Soul.
