New Directions

There are times in our lives when we have challenges we go through. We often wonder why. We try to figure out the reasons for things, but it becomes frustrating along the way so we give up.

We are awake at night with questions wracking our mind trying to find answers to the questions as to why we have to face things we do not want to face or go through.

We get up the next day with the same questions on our mind that kept us awake, so we try to put it in the back of our mind, but we think about it all the more. We ask ourselves why can we not forget about it, but then we become frustrated about it instead of going to the One who can solve all things.

We want answers right then, but He is not going to answer us right then, we have to wait until He answers us in His own time. We want answers because we sometimes feel like our lives are going in new directions that we do not understand. We feel lost along the way because we do not understand the path we are on. We do not understand where He is trying to take us in our lives. We become afraid because we do not know what lies ahead of us. We are afraid of the challenges we will face. We wonder if we will overcome those challenges. The answer is yes. Yes we will overcome those challenges because we are not alone along the way. He will be with us every step of the way.

When we start in a new direction, it is for growth. It is to make us strong, to make us learn something new that we have never did before. It could be to refresh ourselves on something that we have already done to make it better; mainly our lives. To be better, we must do things we have never did before. We can turn in a new direction to help those who need to be helped, to pray for someone who needs prayer, to encourage someone who needs encouragement, to be a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on. There are lots of things we can do when we turn in a new direction.

Sometimes we have to turn around to go and get something we forgot along the way, such as completing an education, getting a drivers license, whatever it is that we need, sometimes we have to go back and get it so things will fall into place and be complete for us. We do not want to leave anything undone that can hinder us in the future. We all have a path to take in our lives, but along that path there will be some setbacks we cannot let get us down. We must stay strong along the way. We must hold on to His hand and never let go. When we fall along the way, He will be there to pick us up and place our feet back on the path that we must follow until we reach the end of our path. When we reach the end of our path, the Son will be shining, and the sun will be shining to brighten the way for those who are lost.

When we decide to live for the Lord, we turn from the old direction and turn to a new direction. We turn from our old ways of living, and we learn to live life anew. We want to tell everyone we know about Jesus, and even as we are new in Christ there is so much to learn, so much we want to know about. Everything looks completely different, we feel different, and there is a smile on our face that speaks volumes of joy. Jesus gives us a smile that no one can take away. Sometimes those we thought were our friends turn away; they want nothing to do with us. Real friends stay in your life to support you in your new walk with Jesus. When a person decide to do things differently in their lives, some people become jealous. I know it does not make since, but some are just that way.

I know it hurts when that happens. It is a feeling that seems like it will never go away. We may want to ask God why, but the words are hard to say. Sometimes we never know the things we will have to face as we live our lives for the Lord. I have been persecuted, talked about, lied on, judged, and called every name in the book since I have been saved, but that is alright. I know who I am, whose I am, and who I live my life for. When things like that happen to me, I just think about what Jesus went through for all of us, and all of that other junk just fades away. What someone says about anyone does not matter, because I believe what Jesus says about me, and that is all that matters.

Living a Christian life is very hard. It is not easy, but we have Jesus to give us strength to endure the things we go through and face on a daily basis. We may look like we are alone, but we are not. He is always with us. There may be times when we may have tears streaming down our face for whatever reason or another, but no one knows why except Jesus. Sometimes we cannot even find the words to say why we are crying. Sometimes we cry when the Holy Ghost comes over us, or when we feel a touch from the Lord, or when God has delivered us from a health issue that medicine could not fix, or when He works a miracle at just the right time in our lives.

As we get older we get wiser, we understand more things than we did in the beginning of our walk with the Lord. We are able to help others with things they do not understand, and we are there for this e who are just starting their walk with the Lord. It des not matter how old or young we are, we all need encouragement. We all need to be lifted up. The further we get to the finish line, the harder we are going to have to run, but when we do make it, it will be a glorious finish! If you have not talked to Jesus today, take out some time to do so. He is waiting to hear from you. Do not forget to ask Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior. Just remember when you feel like no one loves you, just remember that He does. All praise be to God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was and is and is to come. World without end, Amen. ©2021
