Looking Back Again

Tonight I was looking through my pictures on my Instagram account, and I can see how I have changed since then, and not only that, I can see just how much my family has changed and grown. We were so happy in those pictures, but those are just moments in time that cannot be relived. We can always look back at those days in time and remember the fun that was had. We can talk about those minutes and laugh again. We can think about those moments and the things that took place after them. Life is lived moment by moment, breath by breath of every second of every day. In those moments what do we do to leave good memories? How do we feel in those moments? Are we happy, sad, mad, angry, melancholy, nonchalant, distant, calm, joyful, and do we really even care how we are in those moments? Do we in those moments think about our future and how we want things to be in our lives? Do we make goals in those moments that we have just for the twenty-four hours that we have in one day? Most of all, do we think about all of the blessings that we have been given all of our lives; blessings that we do not even recognize? Are we thankful that we can look back over the years of our lives that we can never get back again? Are we appreciative that we have someone we can spend our lives with…to share those moments in time with? What would it be like if we did not? How would we feel?

When I look back over my life, I see Jesus making all things new. I see Him righting all of the wrongs, making crooked paths straight, moving trouble out of the way, opening doors for me that no man can shut, giving me strength when I am weak, comforting me when my heart is broken, drying my tears when I cry, putting a smile on my face when I am feeling sad, making miracles happen just at the right time, providing for me, taking care of me when I am sick, making the sun shine when it is cloudy, and putting a rainbow in the sky after it has rained. When you look back over your life, what do you see Jesus doing in your life? When I look way back over my life, I see Jesus taking the punishment that we all deserved, laying His life down for us, shedding His blood for us, taking the nails for us, dying for us, and rising again for us. He did it because He loved us…He still does and always will. Do you see that? Can you see it? When I close my eyes, I can see it. Sometimes I feel a sharp pain in the middle of my hands and feet, and it reminds me of what Jesus did for us all. I will never forget what Jesus did for us.

When you are having your quiet moments alone, just close your eyes and try to picture Jesus giving up His life…taking what belonged to us. Every time I read the New Testament, I can see everything that Jesus went through…I really can, and it still hurts me because He had to suffer for a sinful world of people who will reject Him, not believe in Him, or trust Him. His love kept Him on the cross for us. He came that we may have life, and life more abundantly. So, when we look back over our lives, let us not forget to look back and see what Jesus did for us.

What is it going to take for the world to see who Jesus really is? He is God! When we are praying, we are praying to Jesus, the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords, Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He knows all things before we even ask. He is God. The Holy Trinity, the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. He is the Blood, the Water, and the Spirit. If we did not have those three, we could not live. Jesus shed His blood. Water and Blood flowed from His side when the Roman soldier pierced Him in His side, and He died a man, came back as a man, and sent His Holy Spirit back to us so we would not be here on this earth alone like orphans. His Spirit lives in us, so therefore we live. Without His Spirit, we would die. Think about it. We all are spirits experiencing human lives. Our bodies eventually die, but our spirits return to God who created our spirits in the first place. We do not belong to ourselves, our lives are not our own, not even the breath we breathe.

When we look back in Genesis, God created Adam from the dust of the ground. Now, if God had not breathed into his nostrils, he would have just been a form of a man in the dirt, but when God breathed into his nostrils, Adam became a living soul. So you see, our breath belongs to God, which is His Spirit, and our bodies which was created from the dirt will go back to the dirt when we leave here; ashes to ashes and dust to dust. We are all just dust and ashes walking around in bodies made from the dust of the ground. Yes, woman came from man when God put Adam in a deep sleep and took one of his ribs and created Eve, so we too are bone of mans bone, and flesh of his flesh, but we are just more softer and feminine. God said that it was not good for a man to be alone, so He created females.

Human life began in the Garden of Eden, the first sin began in the Garden of Eden, the first eviction began in the Garden of Eden, the first clothes were made by God in the Garden of Eden, and the first murder was when Cain killed his brother Able. When we are looking back over our lives, we cannot look half way, we have to look back all of the way to the beginning. Everything has a beginning and an end. God sees everything from the end to the beginning, He sees the whole picture of our lives, we are just writing the story as we go along in this life. Everything that happens in our lives was already preordained before we were born. There is nothing that God does not already know about us, we just do not know everything about us, because if we did, we would not make some of the mistakes we make in our lives.

I thank God for allowing me to be where I am in my life today, because if it were not for Him, I would not be here. He has brought me through so much since I came into this world, and He protected me before I was born…when Satan tried to take my life, but I am still here. People just do not realize how good God is, especially those that do not know Him. It is never to late to ask Jesus to come into your heart to be your personal Lord and Savior today.

Just know that He is waiting to hear from you. Just always know that He loves you with an unending love. His love never fails. He will never give up on you. One day Jesus is coming back, and when He does it will be to late. Do not put off for tomorrow what you can do today, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Continue to wear your masks, and continue to social distance, and stay safe. Until next time, God bless everyone.
