Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble.
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without work is dead?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the alter?
Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
And the Scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified, by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

FAITH
Hebrews 11:1-States “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” This passage concerning the function of faith in relation to the covenant of God is often used as a definition of faith. …This evidence for conviction is so positive or powerful that is described as faith.
When we think about faith, we want what we do not have, but when we pray, we must have faith to know that God hears us. God told Abraham to sacrifice his own son, and without hesitation, Abraham obeyed God to do what He had asked him to do. So when time came and they were where God showed him to go with Isaac, he went. He went through the necessary procedures to do what God asked, but the angel from heaven stopped him from killing his son, God provided a ram in the thicket for Abraham to sacrifice. God was testing Abraham’s faith to see would he give Him back his only son that was with him. Abraham did not know that God was going to provide something else for him to sacrifice in the place of Isaac.
When I think about how God sent HIs Only Son to this earth to die for our sins, I know it must have had to hurt His heart knowing that His Only Son was going to die for the sins of the whole world. Just as Abraham loved his only son, and when God told him to sacrifice Isaac, I know without a shadow of a doubt that his heart brake into a thousand pieces, and the hurt was great. Just as God had to turn from His own Son as He was hanging on the cross because of us, it had to hurt Him more than anything in the world. Jesus knew that He was going to rise on the third day, but had Abraham sacrificed Isaac, he was not going to rise again until the resurrection. God told Abraham that He was going to make him the father of many nations, He told Abraham to count the stars in the sky, and to count the grains of sand. Abraham trusted God, he had faith in God, he did not doubt God.
When God speaks to our spirit, and we know that He has spoken to us, what do we do? How do we feel? Do we doubt what we heard, do we believe what we heard? Do we thank God for speaking to us? Do we go and do what He has told us to do in faith, or do we doubt ourselves out of a blessing? We have faith that God will wake us up the next day, or when we have a nap. We have faith that God will give us what we want. We have faith that God will provide our every need. We have faith when we want Him to heal our loved ones. We have faith the seasons will change. We have faith that the sun will shine. The question is this, do we have faith and trust God whole heartedly through every circumstance in our lives and not just for certain things? Jesus showed us His faith, and He showed us the works of God, because He is God in the flesh. They could not believe in Jesus or the things that He did because of unbelief, and they did not have any faith. What is the point in having works and no faith? Think about this, when you are praying in your quiet time, do you believe in faith that God knows what you are going to ask Him for? Do you believe He will answer you? Do you have the faith of a grain of mustard seed? Having a little faith can move mountains. Use what faith you have when you go to God. He can strengthen your faith like never before, just ask in faith and believe. Don’t doubt God, and don’t your faith fade.
My Heart
My heart speaks of Your love that You gave to us from above. My heart sheds tears because of what You done for us, not with sadness, not for fear, because without You we would not be here.
My heart beats the melodies that You place there. My voice rings them out loud and clear. My heart cries out, and my soul joins in. It was darkness before this world began. What wonderful majesty You have with love so great. How when I can’t feel Your presence my heart aches. What could I do, where would I be, because without You thee would be no me.
My heart feels joy when I hear Your name. My heart in Your hands is where it will remain. Hold me tight, do not let me slip from Your grip. I am Your creation forever more.
My eyes watch day and night for Your return. My heart longs for You. This world is not my home I am just passing through. Keep watch over my soul for the rest of my days, because Jesus I want to be with You for always.
When my heart cannot sleep, I know You are right by my side…keeping the enemy away…keeping bad dreams away…holding my hand so I will not be afraid. Your love remains. Your mercy remains. Your forgiveness remains. Your grace remains. Forever You remain.
My heart is filled with fear when I cannot feel You near…I feel alone, on my own…in the dark without light…without the light of Your love. Your loving arms around me You put and wipe my tears away, that is how I know You are here to stay. To stay with me and never leave me alone. You will always be with me when I make my journey home.
Sometimes when life gets to be a bit much, I cannot feel God’s presence…it is very frightening to me. It makes me feel like I cannot live, my heart races. I cannot sleep sometimes when I feel like that. Those are the times when I know my faith is being tested. Those are the times when my faith is being made strong. When I am least expected, He places His hand on my shoulder to let me know that He was there the whole time. It is so refreshing to my heart and soul when that happens. My soul can rest within me and I can breathe again.
When I cannot sleep at night…when my mind just will not stop racing, I just ask Jesus to help me settle so I can rest, and before I know it I am fast asleep. I know I can always call on Jesus in everything I am going through, and you can to. He will always be there for us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He loves us. If you have not asked Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior, you may want to make that decision, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us. It will be the best decision you will ever make in your life for all eternity. God bless, and stay safe.
