When we fill out a job application for work, we see something in that place of business that stands out. It gets our attention and we want to work for that company. When we fill out the application, we hope to be chosen for the position that we have applied for, in hopes that we will be treated fairly if we are chosen for the position. When it is all said and done and we get called for the interview, we are excited about it. We feel that we made a good decision in applying for the position in that company. When the day of the interview comes, it feels good because you were chosen for the position. You cannot help but wonder what it is going to be like working for that company. You have a good feeling about it, but there is something in the back of your mind that is trying to tell you that you made a mistake, but you ignore it. All is felt is the excitement of getting the job.
When you get to the place of your new employment, there is a certain vibe in the air that just feels right. The atmosphere feels good, and all is well, that is until something happens to you after it is all said and done. When something like that happens, they act like they care so much, but then their true colors show when you ask them for something you need to make your life a bit better, but then they come up with all of these excuses and lies, but yet in still they are hiring someone else to take your place while you are recovering; is that right, I think not. I believe that there should be enough people there at the company to cover you while you are out recovering. While you are going to the doctor to get the treatment that you need to get better, they should check in on you to see if there is anything they can do for you to make sure you are taken care of, to make sure you have everything you need, to make sure your bills are paid, to make sure you have everything you need on a daily basis until you are fully recovered. They should reach out even with a phone call, an email, or even a text just to show you that they have not for gotten about you. Anyone that is worth their salt would do that for their employees. Those that are not worth their salt does not care one way or the other about that person, they are all for themselves, and they are all about saving the company money when they have lots of money because they own more than one business of the same kind.
When an employee has been hurt on the job, the employer should care for that person, and they should care about all of their employees that work for them. There should not be a problem with them helping their employee that has been hurt, but all they see is a liability; they do not see a person for who they are; such as an asset to the company. When companies care for their employees, the employee wants to be there to work for that company for a very long time. They feel valued, wanted, and accepted. They feel a since of pride to work for a company that cares for them. I always hear them say that, “We are family here, but when something happens, where is the family?” Where are they when you need them? Where are they when you are facing hard times because of the injury that was obtained on the job? Where are they when you just need to know that they care? Where are they when you tell them that you need their help? They are no where to be found. They lie more than a little bit.
I for one cannot see myself continuing to work for the company that I work for because they have done me wrong. They have turned their backs on me. This article that I am writing about happened to me, and I felt like I should share it. I want to share it because it has been on my mind since day one, but I tried to give them the opportunity to prove themselves to me that they cared about me as an employee, but that did not happen. Nothing has been the same since. When I returned to work nothing felt right like it did at first. I did not have my original position, I felt out of place, and my heart was not in it anymore. They took everything from me. This company has brought me down. It has caused me anxiety, stress, and depression, to the point that all I do is wonder why this happened to me. Why I am having to suffer like this, when all they had to do was do what I asked them to do for me, but they would not. I do not feel that I am wrong for leaving a dirty company like that. They do not care for their employees, they are selfish people, and greedy. They only care about their own pockets. They do not care if their employees have anything or not, especially if they have been hurt there.
I would like to speak for those that are afraid to speak for themselves, because when a person is working for a company no matter where it is, or what it is, everyone should be treated fairly, and respected, and not looked upon as just another employee. Employers should look at their employees as someone that cared enough to even apply for a position at their company. There are many jobs, but when a person finds that job that they feel and know that is right for them, the employer should be grateful that is hiring them. They should treat that person right no matter the color of their skin, or where they are from in this world. I hope this opens up the eyes of all who reads this article, because I know am not the only one that this has happened to. Leave your comments in the comment section below the article. Thank you.
