James 1:22-24

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. James 1:22‭-‬24 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jas.1.22-24.KJV

This Scripture tells me that we must be doers of the Word and not only hearers. If we are just hears of the Word, then we will not apply it in our lives, but if we do what the Word say for us to do, we will be obeying God. Sometimes we forget what we have heard, or what we have read not intentionally, but we get distracted by other things going on around us. When we keep ourselves in the Word, we will not for get what the Word tells us to do. For instance, when we get dressed, we are looking at ourselves to see how we look in what we have on, we may think we look good in that, but then when we look at ourselves again we do not like what we see, so we change into something else hoping that it will be better. We look at ourselves in the mirror, and soon as we leave the mirror we forget what we looked like and return to it again to get a closer look. That is how it is with the Word, we read it, hear it, and forget what we have read, and heard, so we go back to get a closer look so we can see how to apply it in our lives.

When we give our lives to God, we are made new, our old selves are passed away. We do not do the things we once did, and we want to live right. Sometimes we think about what we once did and we called it fun, when in all actuality we were not having fun, we were living destructive lives that were going to lead us to a place where we did not want to be in life. When we live for Jesus, we want to do the things that is pleasing to God. We do not want to do what he world wants us to do, we do not do what we want to do, we deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Jesus. We do not want to go back to that old life of sin and shame. Therefore we cannot forget what we have learned from the Word of God through Jesus Christ our Savior.

We cannot serve God and the world, or the one who is in the world, and that is the enemy, Satan, the father of sin and lies. See, he wants us to forget what we have learned from Jesus. He wants us to turn our back on God. He wants to deceive us now just as he did in the Garden of Eden. He is the reason sin and destruction is in the world right now. This virus that we are facing is because of sin, whoever, and however it was brought here was because of sin. He comes to steal, kill , and to destroy. He is like a roaring lion seeking who he can destroy, and this virus has most certainly did that.

That is why we cannot forget who we are, who we represent, and whose image we are created in, and who we belong to, and who knew us before the foundations of the world, before we were knitted together in our mothers womb. We belong to God. Everything belongs to God.

We do not want to deceive ourselves by not being doers of the Word of God.

I thought that this would help explain the Great Commission that Jesus gave us to do.
This video is pertaining to the Scripture James 1:22-24. I hope you all enjoy it.

This video is for all ages.

I feel that I am being a doer of the Word, and not just a hearer of the Word of God. This is how I share the message of the “Good News of Jesus Christ”. Some churches are still closed, and there are places in the world where there is not any churches, or Bibles for people to read, so I am doing my best to share the Word of God with all people. God’s Word is good for us. His Word is living and breathing; it is alive. They are not just words on a page to be glanced at and forgotten about; they are words of life that He wants us to live by. He loves us so much. It does not matter what mistakes we make, He still loves us. He loved us so much that He sent His Only Son into the world to die for our sins, so we would not have to live a life of sin, and so we would not have to be separated from God for all eternity. He came to make all things new, and He is coming again. Let us not get caught with our work undone when He returns, because if we do get caught with our work undone, we are going to have to answer for it. There is still work to be done before He returns, so let us try with all of our heart to make sure we are doing our part for the KINGDON OF GOD.

Let us not forget to thank God for all of the wonderful things He has done for us, and for all of the blessings that HE has given us. Let us not forget to give Him praise. He deserves all of our worship. With that being said, all Praises be to God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was and is and is to come, Amen! Be blessed, and stay safe.
