He is the vine, we are the branches. We cannot do anything without Him, so therefore we must stay connected to Him. We cannot flourish without Him. Stay blessed.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
John 15:5 KJV

There are times in our lives when we are going through things that we think we have to face alone. We go through life wondering if there is a better way to do and understand things. We read books on self help, we go to google to find quick answers, we go to our friends for advice, but do we really take it? We walk around aimlessly lost in our own thoughts never realizing that we have someone who is always there for us to give us the answers to the things that we go through in life.
There is no reason for us to stress about things, but we do. There is no reason for us to let things depress us, but we do. There is no reason for us to let things cause us anxiety, but we do. Why is that? Why do we forget about the Only One who holds it all in His Hands? Is it easy for us to become complacent in our lives? Why do we often forget about the True Vine? Why is it so hard for us to remember that we are connected to the True Vine who gives us life, who sustains us, who carries all of our burdens, who blesses us when we sometimes don’t even deserve it? When we stay connected to the True Vine all things are possible, but when we disconnect ourselves from the True Vine, we miss out on everything. Without the True Vine we can do nothing. We are nothing without the True Vine who sustains us. Our True Vine is Jesus Christ, and we are the branches. Let us not forget what Jesus said. He is the Vine and We are the Branches. Without the Vine giving life the branches cannot survive and bear fruit, so therefore they are cut off and thrown into the fire and burned.
When you look at a green branch of any kind, just know that it is connected to the vine that sustains it. We must be rooted and grounded in the Vine, the roots is what gives the vine life, and the vine gives the branches life; simply because if the roots were not alive to receive water from the life source the vine would die and so would the branches. The branches would not be able to drink from the life giving source from the Vine.
Yes, Jesus calls us branches because we are apart of Him. He came to die that we may live. We live because He lives, and His Spirit lives inside of us. He lives inside our hearts. Without His Holy Spirit, we would be in a sad fix for the rest of our lives. When we need anything, or need to know anything we can go to Jesus. He loves us. He wants us to come to Him with everything that we are going through. With that being said, have a blessed and safe day in Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
