God, today I choose to cling to this truth: nothing is impossible for You. Because of the gift of Your Son, Jesus, I have direct access to You at all times. What an incredible gift that is! As I go through my day, remind me that every request can be brought to You. Draw my heart near to You, and spark within me a passion for Your name and Your people. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Afraid for the One You Love
Life is a gift. We should not take it for granted. Every day we wake up is a blessing just to be on top of the earth, because it could be the other way around. There is so much going on in the world this day in time until you just do not know who to trust. People call you their friend, but where are those friends when you need them? Where are they when you need someone to talk to about important things? Where are they when you need a shoulder to cry on? Where are they when you just need an encouraging word to lift up your spirit? Where are they when times are hard?
When we think about it, they are never around when you need them, or there is always an excuse as to why they can’t be there when you need them. That is the main reason why I just can’t rely on anyone being there for me when I need someone. The only person I can really count on to be there for me is Jesus.
He is a friend that will stick closer to you than a brother. When my children are out of my eyesight, I am afraid for them. I know that I may sound a little paranoid, but I love my children, and I do not want anything to happen to them when they are away from me. I know that they have to make their way in the world, but it is just that way for me.
The world is not the way it was when we were growing up. The world has changed a lot. People have changed a lot; and I mean drastically in every meaning of the word. I know that Jesus is always watching over His Creation, and that includes us. I know that He does not want us to worry, or be afraid of anything, but it is just hard not to, especially when it comes to our children.
Yes, He wants us to have faith and know that He is in control of everything, He has everything in His hands. My children often tell me that I worry to much, but I cannot help it. I suppose God is going to have to give me the strength not to worry about things. When I was a child, I did not worry about anything; I guess it was because I did not have anything to worry about.
Life was so simple then…not a care in the world. Now we are going through this pendemic with this COVID-19 virus that is still wreaking havoc in the world. This is another reason why I am afraid when my children are out of my eyesight. I do not know who they are around, or who is around them, or if anyone they are around has it and don’t know it…everything is so different now. I would have never thought that we would still be going through this, now there is this variant that has come right along with it and it is no better. People are still dieing everyday, the numbers are not going down, and hospitals are still full because of this virus.
Will it ever come to an end? Will things ever be the same again? Will we ever stop being afraid? What about the children being born? What about the homeless? What about the elderly? I know that these are just questions that we have no answer for, but I know that Jesus has all of the answers to the questions that we have about this situation that we are in. I feel like because of all of the sin that is in the world this came. I feel it is God’s way to get our attention so we all can find our way back to Him. It does not matter what we have done, or where we have been in this life on this earth, we all need to repent of our sins and turn back to God; the only One who can save our souls.
This is the Bible fulfilling itself. If Jesus were to come back right now, there would be a lot of people that would not be ready to go, but the sad part about it is that there will be no time to right all wrongs. That is why when I end what I am writing I always ask you to give your lives to the Lord Jesus, because tomorrow is not pomised to anyone; not even our next breath. It is God’s breath that keeps us alive, not our own because it does not belong to us; our lives are not even ours. It is because of Him living inside of us that we may have our lives. Our lives are just a vapor, a quick mist in the wind, here one minute and gone the next.
If it were not for God, I would not be on this earth because the Devil has been trying to take me out since before I was born into this world, before I drew my first breath. I am still here to share what God has done for me in my life and where HE has brought me from, and what HE has brought me through. I am just thankful that I do not look like what I have been through. If it were not for Jesus, I just do not know what I would do, but I do know where my soul would reside for all eternity.
I really do think about my soul, and not just my soul, but the souls of others. I wonder if everyone will ever get saved. I wonder about those that think that when you’re dead you’re done, but when we leave this earth, our souls returns to God and our bodies are in the ground. We all will have to stand before Him on that great getting up morning when Jesus returns to take us home. I just pray that God will have mercy on our souls, why? Because we all have failed and come short of His glory. We all have sinned. No one is perfect but Jesus Christ. Not only is He our Savior, but He is our Mediator. He stands up for us.
Sometimes we sin and do not realize it, that is why we have for ask for forgiveness every day, and repent every day. God knows everythig about us. He knows all of what we are going to say and do before we say and do it. There is no escaping Him. Wherever we are, He is already there before we get there. Let us not be afraid to go our Heavenly Father. He loves us all unconditionally. He is no respector of persons. He treats all the same.
He wants us to come to Him when we are afraid of things so He can calm our fears, so He can take away all of our worries and give us peace. Well sisters and brothers, I just want to say stay safe, wear your masks, social distance, and go out only when you have to, home is the safest place to be. God bless you all. Thank you all that follow me and like my articles.
