Where is the Love? Part 3.

I have enjoyed sharing this series on love with everyone. This is the last part of this series, so let us open up our hearts and minds to listen and receive what God has to say to us through the Scriptures about this amazing four letter word called”Love”.

Prayer-Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for allowing us to be able to have Your amazing Word to learn more about You, and how You feel about love. Thank You for giving me the opportunity to share this series that You laid on my heart to do. I pray that everyone who goes through this series feel Your love through the Scriptures that You have put before us. Thank You for Your love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. We know that we could not be the people that we are if it were not for Your sending Your precious Son to take our punishment that we deserved. We are forever thankful. To You God be all the Glory, Praise , and honor forever, Amen.

2 Corinthians 9:7-Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. Paul is telling us that we should give out of our heart what we have to God, because when we give to God, it is right. We are to give Him the very best that we have; because if it were not for Him giving us the ability to work and have wealth, we would not have anything. When we do what is right by God, He will give us more than we can ask or think. God does not want us to give and then be mad about it, or have regrets about giving something to Him. He wants us to be happy. We should be happy to give to God, because He is so good to us, better to us than we could ever be to ourselves. It does not matter whether we are rich or poor we all owe God. We owe Him a debt that we can never repay, so when we look at this Scripture, we should be more than glad to give God what is rightfully His. This is how we show God that we love Him.

Malachi 3:10- Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. This is God telling us that when we give Him what is rightfully His, He will bless us beyond compare. He will give us such a blessing that we will not have room enough to receive it. That is God showing us His love. He is our Father, He wants to bless us; but this is the only time in the Bible that God asks us to try Him. All He asks from us is ten percent of our earnings, nothing more, nothing less. In Verse 8, it says,”Will a man rob God? God tells us that we have robbed Him. We ask God, “How have we robbed Him?” God tells us that we have robbed Him in tithes and offerings. Those are hard words to swallow, but it is the truth. How can we rob someone that we say we love? How can we hurt someone that laid their life down for us that we can be free? He gives us so much everyday. He gives us our lives because He wants to, He does not have to. We owe Him, He owes us nothing. Why is it so hard to give God what is rightfully His? It is out of selfish greed and that is the plain truth.

In verse 9. God tells us that we are cursed with a curse: because we have robbed Him, even this whole nation. This tells me that we are suffering because we have not done right by God as we should. How can God bless this nation that we live in when everyone is living their own lives the way they want to instead of how God said we should live our lives? We need to show God love, and love Him with everything that is within us; with all of our might. When this nation turn back to God all of this that we are going through will come to an end.

In verse 11., God tells us that He will rebuke the devourer for our sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of our ground; neither shall our vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

Verse 12. God says,”And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts. This is how much God loves us. When we do what is right towards God, He will bless us. This whole entire nation need God right now. This nation was built by those who had godly morales. This nation that we live in has been destroyed by ungodliness. We need God to show us His love for this nation, but until we do what we know is right, it is not going to happen.

Ephesians 5:2- And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor. Jesus walked in love eventhough He was going through what He was going through for us. He laid His life down for us. We should want to walk in love because of the love that Jesus has for us, and what He did for us. He gave His life for us, a living sacrifice, spotless lamb of God. I see why we call Him Sweet Jesus.

Colossians 3:19-Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Our husbands are not to be bitter towards us. They must love us. What do they profit when they are bitter towards us? They only hurt themselves when they are bitter towards us. Whe they are bitter towards us, it makes us not want to be there for them when they need us. Being the women that we are, we forgive them as if they were never bitter with us. It just make sthings better in the long run.

First Timothy 6:10- For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. It is alright to have money, but just don’t let it control you. Do not love it, because when you love it more than God, it will cause you to do things that you should not do. It cannot buy happiness, but it can bring you many sorrows. When people have a lot of money, they feel like they do not need God. They think that their money can save them from things, but all in all money cannot save you at all. It is a good thing when it is used in a good way; such as helping someone in need, helping the homeless, giving to charities, and things like that. Money can cause people to do evil things, but the point is this; use it in the right way and see how God will continue to bless you with it so you can do more good deeds for His Kingdom.

Titus 2:4- That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,..When we listen to the elderly as they teach us how to be young women, we learn a lot. We learn the necessary things like how to be wives, and how to love our children, and how to love our husbands. It is hard sometimes when we just don’t know how to be wives, especially if we have neve been married before and it is our first time. We need someone to teach us and guide us along the way until we learn. Sometimes we have to learn on our own when we do not have anyone to teach us those things. The good thing about it is that we have God’s Word to learn from. Everything we need to know about life and how to live is in the Word of God.

Hebrews 13:1- Let brotherly love continue. We are never to stop loving one another as Jesus has loved us. We are to love everyone, because we are all brothers and sisters in the Lord.

First John 4:7- Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. We are to love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loves is born of God, and knoweth God. We know that God is love because He sent His precious Son into the world to die for our sins. He sacrificed His life for us so that we would never be separated from God again. We can be called sons and daughters of God because of what Jesus did for us. The nails that were put into His hands did not keep Him on the cross, it was love that kept Him there. God is all of the love that we need. Human love will fail us, but God’s love will never fail us. The love that He has for us will stand the test of time and for all eternity; it will never fade. Therefore we are to love one another as He loved us and gave Himself a ransome for us all.

Revelation 2:4-Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Jesus loved us first; He is our first love. He chose us when we were living in sin and shame. When we did not have a chance to ever enter heaven, when we were on our way to a devils hell, He loved us. He has every right to have that against us. We left Him after what HE did for us. There was no chance of us having eternal life before Jesus came to redeem us back to God. The price that He paid for us; something that He did not have to do if He decided not to, but He came to finish the work of the Father. Had He not came, we would not have any salvation like we do now. We would still be living in our sins. We would not have had the chance to repent and be washed in HIS blood that makes us whiter than snow. I know what Jesus did for us and that is something that I will never forget. When I was living in sin after I left the church many years ago, I was afraid, and I knew that if I died unsaved I was going straight to hell. I knew that I would not go to heaven. I am so glad that I turned my life around and went back to Jesus and got my life right. I am not perfect, but what Jesus did for me on the cross will always be in my heart. Now I know that if I had to leave this earth for whatever reason, I will spend eternity with Jesus.

Love died for us all, took the punishment that we deserved, saved our sinful souls, gave us a new way to live, and taught us how to love.

This concludes my three part series on Where is the Love. As I close this out, I want to say to you that Jesus loves you more than anything, and more than any one else ever could. While it is still called today, and the blood is still running warm in your veins, please consider asking Jesus to come into your heart and be your personal Lord and Savior. There is to much going on in this world to just continue to live without Jesus being in your life. He gave His life so we can live free from sin and shame. Take this opportunity while it is still called today, becasue tomorrow is not promised to any of us. May God bless you and keep you always in the palm of His hands.
