The Pattern for Servanthood-Matthew 20:25-28: Greatness Is Serving: Holy Bible pg. 679.

Matthew 20:28-“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give HIs life as a ransome for many”.

Isaiah 42:1-“Behold ! My Servant whom I uphold, My elect One in whom My Soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

Habakkuk 1:13-You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness. Why do You look on those who deal treacherously And hold Your tongue when the wicked devour A person more righteous than he?

Romans 3:23-For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:16-18:Dead To Sin, Alive To God.

(v.16.) Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom, you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

(v.17.) But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

(v.18.) And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

Romans 6:23-For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Matthew 28:20-The word ransom describes the price paid to set a slave free- Christ voluntarily purchased our liberation. There was only one way our Holy God could remove our guilt yet remain true to His own law: someone sinless had to pay our sin debt.

Eery human on the face of this earth has sinned; there is not one person that’s completely innocent of not sinning. People sin everyday without even realizing it. People have bad thoughts, curse, and do things that are terrible to one another not realizing that they are sinning. That is the reason we have to ask for forgiveness all day everyday. If we didn’t have a Savior to go to we would really be ina bad fix for all eternity. We would never be able to ask for forgiveness. We all have fallen short of God’s glory. He knows that we are but dust before Him, and that He created us.

He knew all that we would ever do and say when we were born. We live from one day to the next because of His love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. He loves us so much that He gives us a chance to make things right with Him and to work on changing things about us that we need to change.

No one is perfect except Him, but we will not be perfect until we completely surrender it all to Him. When we do that, He can remake us and mold us into the kind of people He wants us to be that He may use us to bring more people to Jesus tht they may receive eternal life. We are not perfect, we are all sinners saved by His wonderful grace. Salation is free, Jesus paid the price for us when He laid down His life for us at Calvary. We owe Him everything.

It gets hard sometimes, but I am so glad that He did that for me! I just don’t know what my life would be like if I didn’t have Him in my life. I’m so glad that He’s always there to forgive me whenever I fall and make mistakes in my life. He remembers our sins no more.

I may not be perfect now, but I am a work in progress. I hope to be perfect when Jesus comes again to take us home.
