Remembering 9/11

First, I want to give thanks to God for allowing us to be here on this earth another day to have our health and strength. I want to thank Him for watching over us and protecting us through the night from the harm that is in this world. I want to thank Him for all that He has done, for all that He is doing, and for all that He is going to do on this earth, and in our lives. I want to thank Him for being just who He is, and that is God Almighty! We must praise Him in all circumstances that we go through in our lives.

Today is a day that we will never forget. I know we all remember where we were when that tragic tragedy took place. It is something that will be branded in our hearts and minds forever. I have had the opportunity to be interviewed by my daughter about this day when she was going to school. It was a tearful moment. I was looking through social media at some of the pictures that were posted, and I just broke down in tears. It still hurts me when I remember what our nation went throuhg on that day. My heart goes out to all of the families who lost loved ones, and to those that survived the tragedy; may God always comfort them.

That was something that we as a nation had to go through. We all had to heal in our own way, and we all had to understand that although it happened, God was still on the throne just as He is now. We as a nation faced this thing together, and we will make it through this thing together with prayer.

Now that our children are adults now, that was once small when this happened, we can tell them about what happened in that day and moment in time. I know that I remember everything about that day. Now we have to face this deadly virus, COVID-19. Who would have thought that after all we have been through we would have to go through something like this? Just when we felt comfortable and normal again, here this comes. Never in all of my life would I have ever thought that we would be going through something like this. What will the world be like by the time the year 2030 comes? I know that is a bit far off, but I just cannot help but imagine what we will be going through with this COVID-19 and wearing masks. Will we be able to speak to people and hang out without having to social distance? Will we be able to go to places without them having to bring our things to our vehicles without being afraid we are going to catch something? Will everything be normal again as it was before? I know that Jesus said that in this world we would have tribulations, but take heart I have overcome the world. Yes, we should, but it is kind of hard seeing what we are up against. Yes, we must have faith to know that God has us all in the palms of HIS hands. All we see is destruction day after day. We cannot believe what the enemy whispers in our ears about what is going on now, but we must believe the words of God. His words are true; we can stand on them from Genesis to Revelation; His words never fail.

I pray that we always remember to go to God when we feel like we cannot face another day of this thing that is taking the lives of people. We can tell Him everything that we are feeling about this whole matter. I know we do not understand why this has happened, but God understands. He knows what we think about it, and HE knows that we want it to come to an end. Until then we must be careful, stay safe and wear our masks everyday that we go out. It is an uncomfortable feeling wearing something that we have never had to wear on our faces. We are not only protecting ourselves, but we are protecting those that we are around everyday, and others that we come in contact with.

I pray that we will one day get to go to church again and praise the Lord together. Be careful, stay safe, and wear your masks. God bless America and our world, Amen.

STILL THE SAME

Nothing has changed as of yet with this COVID-19. It is still wreaking havoc in the world. Now there is the new one that is out that they have been talking about on the news. What next? What are we as a nation to think about this killer virus? What about the children that are being born into all of this? What can we do to protect them? What can we do to protect ourselves? I ask this question because the masks are not working properly as they should, because if they were people would not still be catching this virus! I know that we have to do what has been put in order for us to do and abide by. I often wonder when God created the world, He knew just how we were going to feel about this. He knew who were going to survive this and who were not when they were stricken by it. Sometimes I just wish that He would snap His fingers and eliminate it all together, but we have to still trust that He is going through this with us. We must trust that He will bring this to an end in due time. We just have to keep on praying, trusting, and beleiveing. One day this all will be a distant memory and it will be as if it never came. Until then we must hold on to God’s unchanging hand that will never let us go. May the lost come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior before it is to late, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Amen.

God will always be on our side!
