We Are God’s Children

Yes, we are God’s children, are we perfect, not by longshot. We all have missed the mark. Does He still love us? Yes He does. Does He still want us? Yes He does. I know that life gets in the way of us praising our Heavenly Father from time to time, but we have to make time to do it.

As children of God, it is our responsibility to acknowledge our heavenly Father…we cannot act like He is not important. He is very important; if it were not for Him we would not be here living on this earth that He created.

We are God’s children that are blessed in every area of our lives, we just don’t see it. The reason being is because we focus on the negative in things instead of focusing on the positive and the blessings that it brings.

When we focus on the positive in things, there is joy, laughter, and happiness. When we focus on the negative, there is sadness, resentment, hate, strife, and jealousy. What is the point in focusing on all of the bad things that has happened in our lives? What does it profit? Where is, and what is our heart and mind set on? Where should it really be?

To answer those questions: Number one, our heart and mind should be focused on our heavenly Father who created and loves us; who sent His One and Only Son to die for our sins. Number two, focusing on the negative all of the time only brings heartache and sleepless nights. Number three, focusing on the positive brings joy, love, and peace.

Yes, we are God’s children one and all. I am so glad He is there to pick us up whenever we fall. It is a marvelous blessing to be God’s children. It is a wonderful blessing to call Jesus our Brother. To be joint heirs with Him…The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Author, Finisher, and Profector of Our Faith!!

The One who walked on water, calmed the raging sea, opened blind eyes, cured lepers, and made the lame walk, raised the dead, fed five thousand people with two fish and five loaves of bread, cast out deamons and evil spirits, hung bled and died, was raised on the third day with all power in His hands in heaven and on earth, and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God Almighty! Our heavenly Father, His God, Our God, His Father, and Our Father forevermore!! Praise God!! Praise God!!, Praise God!!

My heart is over joyed! We are so blessed!

We are God’s children. Let us not forget to Praise Him, and Glorify Him! He loves us, always has and always will forever!.Amen.

God’s Love for us is in everything. His love is living water.

LIVING IN GOD’s PERFECT LOVE

When we were growing up, some of us grew up in families where there was unconditional love, and some of us grew up where there were no love expressed at all; some heard the word “love”, but some didn’t. We all have our stories of that word, be it good or bad.

I was always told to believe that someone loves you unless they tell you different. I have always had an open mind about that word.

Love hurts. It can be good, it can be bad, and it can be ugly depending on how it is used. People throw that word around like it is a ball waiting to be caught by someone whose going to hold on to it forever. That ball of love can be dropped again, or it can be passed on to the next person to catch.

When we look at that word “LOVE”, what and who do we think about? Do we think about our spouses, our children, our mothers and fathers, other relatives? Yes, no, maybe? The real question is this, do we think about God’s perfect love? Do we think about how He had to see all of the mean and hateful things that was done to His only Son? Do we think about just how much He loved His Son? Do we think about how it hurt Him to turn away from His Son when He took our sins upon Himself? Do we ever think about the love He has for us? Do we ever think about how we can live in God’s perfect love?

His love is the only perfect love, and as soon as we realize that , our hearts will be completely overjoyed. There will be nothing that can turn us away from His perfect love. Living in God’s perfect love is powerful. His love can turn the most coldest heart soft again. Living in His perfect love will make us love our enemies.

Living in His perfect love is the most wonderful thing that we could ever do; there is wisdom, knowledge, and understanding when living in God’s perfect love.

God created these beautiful flowers, and everything He created was good…not only good but perfect just like His Love.

In the Background

Sometimes we want to do things to make God smile towards us, for Him to lay His beautiful hands on us, and to bless us. We should know that while we are up front trying to do our thing, God is not only in the background, but He is all around us doing His thing; the problem is we just don’t see it, why, because our eyes are spiritually closed.

When we open up our eyes to the reality of it all, we will see that we’re not in control of anything that happens, or what is going on around us. Everything that happens has already been preordained before we were even born.

We cannot stop what was already meant to happen. No matter how much we pray about something, we still have no say in the matter; God has the final say in everything. Yes, it hurts when our prayers are not answered how we want them to be. We need to understand that our Father in heaven knows what is best for us. We may feel and think that we know what’s best for us, but we don’t. We need to always stay in the background and put God first always. How can we expect for God to give us anything when we don’t give Him what He deserves? How can we expect God to bless us when we find excuses to bless Him with what’s already His? Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. We have to give in order to receive. When we give to Him what is rightfully His, He will give us what is ours and more. We can’t beat God givin’ no matter how hard we try.

Life can be hard at times, but we must know that everything will be alright; it may not look like it, or feel like it, but it will. Sometimes it has to rain and it falls very hard. It may seem like it is never going to stop, it eventually does though. The sun shines again and there is a rainbow in the sky. It tells us that there is still beauty in circumstances, because God is there with us; He brings the beauty to all things.

Whenever we cry there’s beauty in our tears, our tears comes from our heart, that is where Jesus lives, and that is what makes our tears beautiful. We put on a smile to hide the sadness from others, but in the background we are screaming very loud. No one hears it but God. Sometimes we laugh to keep from crying so no one will ask us what’s wrong, but in the background God sees it all.

Let us step to the background and examine ourselves that we may ask God to remove the things from us that should not be there that we may be clean and pure before Him. When time comes for this earth to come to an end, we won’t have time to step to the background; we will all be in the forefront standing before Him. There will be no more time to make things right with Him, or anyone. There will be no more time to live according to His Word. There will be no more time to be baptized, or to learn the Word. There will no more time to go to church to listen to the preacher. There will be only time for judgement, the separation of good and evil, eternal bliss and eternal damnation!!

Time is running out. Come to the front. Don’t stay in the background. Don’t miss your turn to come to Jesus while He still may be found. Don’t miss out on the blessing of an eternal lifetime. We should never feel that we are in the way when we need to talk to God. He’s ever ready to listen to our hearts cry. He’s ever ready to hold us in His arms, dry our tears, and ease our pain, and fears. Yes, He has His work to do, but He loves taking care of His children too. His love moves mountains out of our way; nothing can ever separate us from His love. He’s never too far away in the background.

This double rainbow reminds me of the covenant that God made with Noah after they exited the ark.

WILL THIS PANDEMIC EVER BE IN THE BACKGROUND?

As we are eight months into 2021, we are still facing pandemics due to the viruses that are spreading like wildfire. We would have never thought that something like this would be taking over the world that we live in. We never thought that something like this could ever exist and cause the harm it has caused around the world. Life as we know it will never be the same again. Life as we know it will be forever changed, and our freedom of living our lives the way we want to live them will be forever altered with masks. Just what is the world coming too? Why are we suffering like this? Why is there not a cure being made for this? Will the vaccines continue to work for some more than others? We have all seen what this pandemic consists of; it only consists of death. I am sorry for the people who has lost their loved ones because of this virus. For those of you who had the virus and made it through, Praise God! The very question is this: Will this pandemic ever be in the background? Will it ever vanish? Will it leave the world alone! I know it is hard to stay positive, but we have to in order to have some kind of sanity. It is even hard to have a since of humor because of all of this. I wake up everyday disappointed because we are going through all of this! Our life should not consist of this havoc and chaos. It is a shame that we cannot enjoy ourselves when we go out. I loved going to the parks, and to the lakes, but now I don’t. All of this isolation is getting to me. I have to find things to do to keep myself occupied…just to have some kind of enjoyment. I just do not feel safe when I go out. It has gotten to the point to where I will not go into the grocery store unless I really have to, and anywhere else for that matter. I just will go to my own mail box. These viruses has made life stagnant and boring. Will this ever end?!? No one knows except God. We surely cannot say if it will or will not end. What about the people who own pets, if they get sick, can the pets get sick too? In my opinion, if people own pets, the pets should get vaccinated too; there should be masks made for pets too.

In all truth, it looks like it is here to stay just like the other viruses that there are no cures for, such as HIV/Aids, and Cancer. This is something that we are going to forever be dealing with unless God works a miracle. I really pray that He does. We really need a miracle right now. We need healing all over the world. It really makes me think about the people who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

I added to this post because I felt it was the right time to do so. I wrote the first part before I started my show, Food for the Soul. Some of you may have read it the first time I posted it, but just in case you did not read it, you will get a chance to hear it on my show. There are more posts that will be aired from my archives from when I first started writing two years ago, so stay tuned. I do so enjoy sharing my writings with you all. Stay safe, and stay blessed. Until next time, thank you for joining me on my journey with Food for the Soul.

Children…Our Pride and Joys & Hell On Wheels

There are days and monents that we look at our children and wish they could stay little forever, and there are times that we look at our children and wish they were already grown and gone, because as they are growing up, they are hell on wheels.

Yes, we love them to pieces, change their diapers, teach them to talk, walk and run, how to dress, and clean themselves as they are learning about the world around them. We register them for school and the rest is history.

They never grow tired of asking their parents to do things for them. From the first time they say the words,”mom, and dad”, it is on forever. No matter what kind of problem they are facing in their lives, they will always come to their parents to fix the problem.

Children never really understand what we as parents go through while carrying them full term, giving birth, and raising them after they have come into the world. I believe that sometimes they think that we are their playmates…although we are the first to play with them.

We hear their first cries, their first laughs, their first belchs, their first everything. They never think or wonder about that. They may think that it should be this way. There’s going to come a time when mom and dad isn’t going to be there; they are going to have to figure things out for themselves. They are going to make their own decisions and learn from their own mistakes.

Some children never stop being a child even when they are grown. They just don’t ever grow up in their mind. They always think and act like a child until one day reality steps in and life happens.

I know that we all still have childlike tendecies, but there is a line drawn in the sand and we know how far to go. Sometimes we talk about our childhood and the things that we would do…talking about all of the trouble we used to get into. We sit and laugh about that now. Growing up wasn’t easy…there were a lot of days I wished I was grown. Now that I am grown, I feel like I have always been grown. I feel like my childhood flew by.

Children today have it easy when it comes to doing things, such as looking up information for reports, what words mean, who people are and other stuff, everything is right at their fingertips. We had to go to the library and check out books to get the information just to do a report, or anything else.

Nevertheless we love them, and want them to have the best of everything; but no, we must not spoil them…it’s hard not to though. They are our pride and joy; the fruit of our womb, the apples of our eyes, our never ending loves, but yet and still they are hell on wheels.

When I look at these red roses, I see all of my children, because they are all beautiful to me.

I See the Cross

I close my eyes and I see the cross where You shed Your blood for me.

I close my eyes and I see Your smile smiling back at me.

I close my eyes and I see Your nail pierced hands reaching out to receive me.

I close my eyes and I see Your nail pierced feet and how You walked that long dusty road just for me.

I close my eyes and I see the crown of thorns that they put on Your precious head, and Your healing blood that flowed freely down Your glorious face.

I closed my eyes and I heard You say,”It is finished”, and You gave up Your life just for me.

So whenever I close my eyes and I see You stand, I know that You are standing just for me.

Rivers of Living Water

Rivers of living water flowed from Your side, and life living blood did to. I will never forget all of the mean and cruel things that they did to You. For in my mind the picture remains there, You could have stopped it, but didn’t because You cared.

You took the punishment that was supposed to be mine, and for that I will love You for all time. Blood and water to quinch our thirst, and Your powerful Words to feed our hungry souls; in the sixty-six books You wrote for us to hold, to read, to keep in front of our eyes; nevertheless some do and others despise.

Rivers of living water refreshes a desert land,I will always hold on to Your unchanging hand. When I think about Your blood that You shed for me, I hold those memories in my heart that rivers of living water will flow from deep within me.

Proverbs 3:5-6

In Proverbs 3:5-6, God is telling us to trust His ways because He knows what is best for us. That is why we should go to Him when we do not understand something, because when we rely on our own understanding about things we go wrong. God will direct us in the way we should go when we forget the right way to go. He will help us to understand things that we do not understand. We think at times that we know it all, but we do not. He is the only one that understands us and all things in this world. He is wise. We need to gain wisdom from Him through His Word. In Matthew 6:33 God tells us to seek His Kingdom first and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto us. We need to seek Him in all things; in every situation and circumstance in our lives. He is the only one that can give us all of the answers to the questions that we have that we do not have the answers to. He is the only one that can shine the true light in us, and on all that we go through. We may not understand why we go throuth the things that we go through, but He does. He knows everyting that we will encounter in our lives.

His ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. All of His ways are perfect; all of His Words are righteous and true. How would we be able to live without the words of life? How would we be able to love others without His Words of love. How would we know which way to go without His direction?

It will take us a lifetime to completely understand that without God , we can do nothing; we are completely lost without Him. That is why we need to hold on to the understanding that He has written to us through His Word. When we need wisdom, and understanding we should ask Him. He will give it to us. With everything going on in the world, it is hard to ask for wisdom when we can’t find the words to say, we just don’t know what to think. God knows that we need wisdom and understanding everyday, but we need to acknowledge Him and trust Him through it all everyday of our lives.

Things will always happen that we have no understanding about, or why they happen, but He has all of the answers to the questions that we have about everything. It does not matter how old we get, we will always need understanding, and no matter how old we are, He will give it to us. Let us never forget to go to the Master with all of the understanding and wisdom in the whole entire universe.

If you have not talked to Him today, take the time to do so; He’s waiting to talk to you too.
