Empty Nest
When we have our children we know they are going to one day leave us. Are we ever ready for that day to come? Are we prepared for them to tell us that they are ready to leave home? Are we ever ready to cut the apron strings? Do we ever get over the fact that they want to have their own lives, experience life, make mistakes and learn from them, experience the world around them, and make their own way?
Well, yes and no. Yes we want them to experience all that life has to offer in this world, but no because we cannot live their lives for them, we cannot make their mistakes and learn from them for them, but we must know that we raised them right to make good choices and decisions in life.
All we can do is support them and let them know that we are there should they need us. We can pray for them to be strong and not give up on themselves.
We who are empty nesters need support too. Our child raising days are over. We no longer have to tend to them as we did when they were born. We have our lives back to do what makes us happy, but what is that? We spend our lives being parents so that is all we know. It is hard to bounce back to not raising children.
It takes a lot of doing to find what makes us happy again; donāt get me wrong, I enjoyed raising our children; if I could do it all over again I wouldnāt do anything different.
Yes, it takes a village, but it also takes the Hand of God! We would not be able to raise our children if God weāre not in the picture. He gives us strength in those hard times when we have to stay up with them because of a tummy ache, teething, or just restless and canāt sleep. Those years are what I call āThe Growing Yearsā.
We grow with our children, we get to know them and they get to know us. They learn that they can depend on us all of their lives , just as we depend on God. They learn that we love them just as God loves us. So, no. We never stop being parents even after they are gone and leaves us with an empty nest.

Praising God Through It All
These are trying times that we are going through. I know it is hard to understand all of this chaos, but the world is in distress right now. We may wonder why things are the way they are, but through it all we must Praise God.
We are to Praise God in all circumstances in life. He is the only One that can solve this pandemic , He is the only One with the ultimate cure for it, and that cure is His Son Jesus Christ.
All sickness and disease is the work of the enemy, and that enemy is Satan. He comes to steal , kill , and destroy, and to wreak havoc on this earth. We must cast this down from whence it came… Every sickness and disease must obey Godās command in the name of Jesus Christ.
Yes, what we are going through is a terrible thing, but God has it under control . He knows how we are feeling about all of this. He knows that things were going to be this way. He knew that there were going to be fear all over the world.
All we can do is pray that it will soon come to an end; we cannot lose faith; we must trust God. He will see us through this. Yes, it is very hard now not being able to do the things that weāve come accustomed to, like socializing, hanging out with friends, and most of all going to church. God knows our hearts, and that is why I am glad He is using me on my job to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is such a blessing that He has placed me there for such a time as this.
Everyone needs to be lifted up in these trying times. Everyone needs to be encouraged. We must never forget that God loves all of us. He will never leave us nor forsake us; He will always be with us. We cannot let COVID-19 keep us in fear. When we know who Jesus is, we must know that He calms our fears; we have nothing to worry about. We must still take the precautions that have been set in place to prevent the spread of it.
God will protect His children. Those of us that are called by His name are covered with the Blood of Jesus. If you have not asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, donāt waste another minute. He is waiting with His arms open wide waiting to welcome you home again. Run to Him, not from Him. He lives, and He loves you.
