Prayer

As I was reading this blessed day, I began to think about Prayer. Prayer is the one thing that we can all do to spread the Gospel of Christ to a lost and dieing world. When we pray, we are talking to God directly. We are making our petitions known to Him. When we pray, it changes things that we may not even see, but it is being done in the Spirit that it may manifest here on earth. Prayer changes things; not only does it change things, but prayer can and will change a person if they want to be changed. Prayer makes things happen that we never ever thought would happen. God listens to all of our prayers, He may not answer them when we want Him to, but He does in His own time. He may say yes, no, maybe, or in due time. We just keep on praying and waiting and having faith that we will hear from Him.

There are people in this world that does not know what prayer is, or what faith is. Because there are so many different religions, people believe how they want to believe, and who they want to believe in. God gives us free will to make our own decisions. We make our own choices, but do we get it right all of the time? No we do not. We make mistakes everyday, we are human beings. We all need prayer at some point in our lives, if not everyday. We go through things that we have no control of, so we need prayer to help us make it through whatever situation we are in. Jesus prayed for us in the garden before He was arrested. It is wonderful to know that we have a Savior who prayed for all of us before we were even born. That is powerful prayer! How amazing it is to know that the King of Kings prayed for all of us! That is why prayer is important. Jesus prayed, so we should pray to.

In the quiet times when everything is still, just take time to pray for someone. Thank God for His amazingly, wonderful gift of prayer. All praises be to God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was and is and is to come. Amen.

Never stop praying. Prayer changes things. Prayer is very powerful.
